There's no need to be so harsh. Just because he has high specs doesn't mean he's trying to brag, he may just want advice.   Please try to keep this a friendly and welcoming environment.

Complete garbage, just build your own. It will be the best decision you have ever made.

Clearly you are trying to brag. Which in most cases, nobody cares about your specs, and it doesnt get people jealous. Im generalizing myself, with no evidence of my theory from other users. Feedback? Anyway...As I said...Since you are likely trying to brag, just dont be the person that asks "Can I run Farmville on low settings with atleast 10 FPS with my 200$ GPU?". Just for the record, clearly you can run GTA IV on Very High, and wont have trouble with an ENB as long as you have decent cooling. Another sidenote, I don't think its possible to run GTA IV on 8.1 - I have heard it from multiple people, so good luck. Cheers ^_^.

Wouldn't a Commandline help with some the strain that comes with a ENB and Textures etc

Possibly...Though with decent specs ENB's shouldnt be a problem. I dont know if you can really stop the GPU Intensiveness of an ENB..

Anyway, As always -

I run IV fine on 8.1, not sure who you've been getting your information from.

In the comments of some vids (I was looking up how to get IV to run on Windows 8 a while back) People were saying IV Can't run on 8.1 for whatever reason. Well I guess I know 8.1 works...I guess ^_^ Yay...Cheers Lel :]

You could have built a better pc for what you paid for the Alienware one. You should be able to play GTA IV on medium to high settings, although I am not completely sure. I have never even heard of a 4GB version of 745.

In agreement with aCoD, you could of built a computer yourself and saved some money on the labor. It really isn't as hard as it may sound, just make sure you do your research.

To be brutally honest; it's a laptop shoved into a slim tower with an Alienware badge on the front. You overpaid and the PC isn't up-gradable. It will probably handle GTA IV okay, games coming out in the next couple of years, including GTA V are questionable when it comes to detail levels. GTA IV is a terrible PC port, I'm not betting on GTA V being handled any better when it comes to hardware optimization.

That's my honest assessment based on my many years of PC hardware and software experience. In any case, congratulations on the new PC, and I wish you luck.

So pretty much im screwed

Question: did you buy it yet? If you didn't there's still time to build your own you can get it cheaper and putting it together will give you useful knowledge. If you already have your computer just buy GTA 4 on the Steam sale ($10 for EFLC collection included) and see for yourself!

I was testing it out havent really payed nothing its my friends and im testing but honestly i just dont really feel like building one and buying all the parts

Building your own is easy, think of it like building with expensive legos. There are several videos on Youtube that can help you like these:
