Featured Replies

it will be called L-S-P-D-F-R not lcpdfr

I was naming the mod itself, not the actual police departement they use in GTAV. But thanks.

let me say it like this. I don't think they will allow mods, but so far i play as a cop in online and i don't get a wanted level.

  • If it doesn't allow mods, it doesn't allow mods. Deal with it. ;)   Although on the PC it's much easier to mod files, and a mod like LCPDFR will, obviously looking at the console version, only be pl

  • Rockstar knows that a lot of the money will be coming from people who want to mod the game, not just have it on PC. It would be a big mistake for them to not allow mods.

We do not know if it will be called LSPDFR, at this time we do not know if there will be a police mod for GTA V.

I dont see why this is a thread. If they dont allow mods, they dont allow mods. What are you going to do? Sue them?

To create a discussion I guess :P

I 100% agree. GTAO would be CHAOTIC with mods, it would be horrible.

You have obviously never played GTA O as it is now. It is horrible.

How to Allow Mods on GTA 5 pc

  1. download from steam.
  2. right click, go to Properties--'Update settings'.
  3. select 'Do not automatically update this game'.
  4. install mods.
  5. Profit.

How is that going to help? It only disallows updates.

Most updates for GTA Online/Single player will probably break a lot of mods/trainers, much like GTA IV broke some mods when it moved from patch 1.0.4 to 1.0.7

It did, but it was because the mods isn't always compatible with all versions. Look at ICEnhancer, it was made for 1.0.4 and still works in 1.0.7.0, but with minor glitches. It isn't rockstars fault, its the modders.

point taken, but im just a little concerned that Rockstar may implement some sort of Bulls**t DRM that makes modding too hard. It'l probably be moddable to an extent, just like IV, but not until a proper Scripthook is made. i give it three days after release until that happens tho :) then that will probably open the floodgates to mods that'l let you play as Spongebob or a 500 foot tall Godzilla or whatever (and hopefully LSPDFR too!)

Scripthook *is* a mod, and it took at least a month to get the first release of aru's IV Scripthook.

Sorry, my bad :P but what im trying to say is that, since mods are already being made and used on console, useable mods should pop up sooner than when IV came out.

Well I think people may get around it. Becuase if we have modders who can read the files and such, then there is a chance. We just have to get use to the code and work around it, pretty much. If they use somewhat of the same code they used for gta 4 pc then it will be tons of mods.

Let's hope for all PC gamers that they don't do such a thing. Nobody is waiting for another bad port from the consoles.
