    LSPD:FR here we come :O

  • Apparently the footage was captured on a PS4. One can only imagine how it's going to look on highest settings on the PC. I need to build my new computer.....now. My 68 Mustang can wait.

  • I think it's best if Rockstar adopts the G17 Media Release Date Policy TM ; "Done when it's done!"

I am truly hoping for a LSPDFR but I am not holding my breath. Since GTA online is what it is I am doubtful Rockstar will allow mods. But maybe just client side they will.

Rockstar doesn't like or allow mods for GTA IV. They haven't liked mods since the whole Hot Coffee thing, if not before. They just don't find it worth their while to pursue modders, and will almost certainly *continue* to not find it worth their while - they'll go after people using mods to cheat in MP, but are unlikely to go after people *making* mods (that's both extremely difficult and doesn't actually address the problem effectively).

I hope GTA V PC can have modding abilities, and disabling them when you go online. Maybe you can have a own server and use plugins!

I found out while I was at someones house, I was going to post a topic but once I got to a PC, the site was down for me ;(

I am literally and figuratively crying tears of joy right now, this feels like a dream! Let's hope it has modding capabilities.

I don't think I never believed that it wouldn't come for PC, my stance has always been to wait for R* to make an announcement :P

Always the announcements.

....But how the hell can i get much money for a new PC to "this fall"?

I think it will be a decent port. I bet they have 2 teams, one on GTA:O and Consoles, one on PC. Then they will not be under so much pressure. But i bet they have been working on a port for like six months now, so it will be good.

There is approximately zero chance Rockstar has any form of official support for modding. Considering there will be no official support, there will be no forced disabling when you go online. Individual scripters can restrict a script to only work in single-player, but it's ultimately futile to try to stop people from cheating with mods online.

Good point. I do see how just SP mods would be allowed with them, but with their other online fiasco's (like SP to MP cars) they might be hesitant to allow mods at all. But I think you might be right that they'll allow it as long as it doesn't promote cheating.

GTA5 coming to PC?

GTA4, Saint's Row: The Third... What do the two have in common with regards to PCs?

They're not well-optimized. I'm fairly certain Rockstar North's gonna make the same mistake with 5 that they did with 4. They announced it, so now they're under a time constraint. Rushed code == sloppy code, pure and simple.

Well if GTA V will  have online (using god knows what) it may be possible that GTA IV will switch from using GFWL and use whatever will be added in the future? Just a guess...

Yeah, but would rockstar actually give a flying fuck about a six year old game?

They're still selling IV. That suggests that at the very least, if GfWL is actually shutting down soon (there have been literally zero official public statements by Microsoft to that effect; the closest Microsoft's publicly come to saying anything about GfWL shutting down is a blurb in an Age of Empires Online update almost a year ago, which was quickly removed, and they've said literally nothing one way or the other since then), Rockstar is likely going to patch out the GfWL DRM.

GTA IV has never been unstable, except when using car mods and texture mods etc for me.

I'm sure you'll still get GTA V though :p

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.
