  • Yeah, and we should ban killing innocent people while we're at it too.   Isn't your country one of the most dangerous on earth, despite having some of the strictest gun control out of any country?

Actually violent crimes have decrease in the last 20-25 years (check the FBI stats if you wish, it's all there).  Everything is in the news today, and the more blood and guts, the more sensational, th

I recall a novel called "immortality Inc." by R. Sheckley, 1959. He said that in future those who are bored and want to end this life just go on the streets killing random people, and that bystanders are so got used to it that they even don't care if someone dies. This thing scared me as hell when I was 12.

I hope he was wrong and those events are simply bad luck... RIP to all victims. It's a bad way to die.

what a shame...two officers killed for nothing...The world is going to pieces now. People are just going crazy, and they're killing innocent people and law enforcement officers for no reason. This year 53 officers (not including the 2 LVMPD officers) have been died already this year. How many more officers have to died this year for doing nothing wrong?

Well... Some regions/countries are filled with loads of more dangerous stuff.

Myself living in Denmark, These big histories and serious felonies, Isn't a part of my everday.

Being an police officer is and will always be a hard job. Most i'f not ALL officers face the day leaving their house, Well knowing that it could be the last day of their lives. Think about people getting pissed about getting pulled over? Why not appriciate that, Someone wants to deal with your bullshit instead?..

But seriously. For those of you saying that everything happens so suddenly, I does not, Stuff like this happens on an everyday basis, Sadly the rest of the world does not know about it.

Crime is a war that never ends..

If you think this is bad, think about what would happen if we didn't have law enforcement. Sadly, police officer's lives are taken constantly just so we're not the ones in front of the gun barrel. RIP to those 2 police officers and other officers that lost their lives!

solution: should be prohibited carry guns

Yeah, and we should ban killing innocent people while we're at it too.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

lol Exactly how is it the most dangerous country on Earth? The media likes to boom these stories.

A murder rate estimated between 22 and 27 deaths per 100,000 is pretty high.

Also placing 13 on a list of the 93 most violent countries doesn't help either.

Apparently, these two officers were shot "execution style" while eating lunch at CiCi's Pizza. Simply eating their lunch... thats just pathetic. Also, (unconfirmed) it says that one officer was able to return fire before succumbing to his injuries.

At least to US officers, the drug cartels ALWAYS have "hit days" on Law Enforcement in NA. It's sad and angering. If you've seen the last half of End of Watch, that's almost exactly what's happening. Except ANY member of a gang is supposed to kill ANY officer they come in contact with.

"Silver over lead" or "Take our bribes or die". You'd be surprised how brazed and far reaching the cartels hand is.

Actually, that's almost certainly *not* what's happening, and I highly doubt any claim that that's a thing in any way. Considering that the US has a *lot* of people in gangs, many of whom have some sort of interaction with some cop on a given day, we'd see a lot more instances of police shootouts if that were not something made up to sell a story. Intimidating witnesses is one thing; trying to intimidate police is another matter, and is a *lot* harder.

solution: should be prohibited carry guns

Sorry...But I do not agree. The problem isn't law abiding citizen or even the guns. It is the criminal with the gun. Blaming guns would be like blaming the airplanes for 9/11. So, if you were to make a law prohibiting guns...That is just going to hurt the law abiding citizens. Because the criminal is always going to find a way to get his hand on firearms.

Say you are laying in bed one night. You hear a car door shut, glass breaks and there is a intruder in your house. You think "I am going to dial 911!" When in reality that officer maybe 10-20 or in some cases 30 minutes away and there is nothing stopping that intruder from shooting you in the head.

There are tons of reasons to carry guns. I just don't believe that passing a law to prohibit guns would cease people from killing another in a crime.
