Is it just my version of LCPDFR 0.95RC1, or is it just an aspect of this version that makes random pursuits so rare? It seems every world event that pops up are on foot. The only time I have ever received a random pursuit was when I was in a regular cavalcade in Central Algonquin. When I watched some 0.95 beta videos, I noticed they were quite frequent. Will this be changed, or do we need to change this in the ini?

You cannot edit specific random world events chances such as foot pursuit or Vehicle pursuits in the .ini file, The only real thing you can do is make it to where more random events happen during game play, But that doesn't mean you'll still see a ton of car chases, More or less just more random events.

I have, But you cannot see the blip if you have hard core on whats so ever, It blinks here and there, But your mainly just stuck looking around with dispatch saying a description, I wish that the ingame dispatch would give detail and tell you what street, speed, direction etc. to make it easier for us hard core users :biggrin:

No hardcore mode. Normal mode at the mo for me.

Absolutely nothing, I always seem to get the ped running from the cop one.

I get the callout pursuit. The one where you can accept or decline and depach says they are heading north in a green whatever car it is etc etc.

But like Harper Iv'e not had a world event pursuit since RC and maybe even since 95 beta. Deffo had them in .91.

I just get the foot world events and there is alway a cop arresting them as soon as they show.

A lot of the earlier World events was taken back out, and likely won't be added again in the final 0.95 Release, Sam and everyone else is working as much as they can on it, mainly focusing on bug fixing.

They might get added in a future release, but it would delay the 0.95 release even further if they'd have to find and fix bugs related to those events.

Ahh, well that explains a lot then :) Thx for the info.

And of course priorities have to be made when so few devs work on such a complicated Mod. At least we know why now.

I am greeted by a very long list of tickets whenever I check out the development hub, everyone of the devs are working to the best of their abilities while the rest of us staff/CT's tires to distract them with various multiplayer games and general annoyance.

Maybe that can be a new callout for future version.

You are called to a house where you have to rescue LCPDFR devs who are being tempted to play multiplayer. You shoot NicoliB in the face and transport the devs through roadblocks of forum members who want to PM them about the colour of the desks in the police station to a basement where they can work on the Mod.

Downside of that is with no face we get no more preview commentary vids :(

No they removed world event pursuits from RC1. The version you are using now.

There used to be random world event pursuits in .91 and I think they were still in 95 beta as well that you were able to join by getting close and pressing "E" to join the pursuit. It's those that are being discussed along with other world events.

The pursuits from callots was not effected far as I know. Better to remove something to be looked at later than spending all resources on it.

Also I hope the force callouts is left in too :) Call it an "ask dispach for work" anything. But hope it's left in.

I can see though the last thing they will want to do IMO is leave that feature in as it looks like a work around for a problem.

Although bomb threats were unrealistic and it didn't explain what to do in time, it was pretty fun. But I still love the massive shots fired callouts we can have now with noose+els not crashing as often.

It's taken me a while to get used to calling Noose again as that used to be a complete no no for me. Instant crash.

Now some of those shoots outs are so heavy I am calling Noose before I get there :)

Huh, my rare world pursuit on RC1 must have been an error then, as my game did slow down quite a bit when it came up on the radar.......

Well, the main reason I do force callouts is that normal callouts do not come often and are mainly domestic disturbance, which can get pretty repetitive if patrolling on the same island for a long period of time. Since I do figure that callouts will be more varied and often in the next version, they will probably throw out Alt+F11, then, I guess.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, I should have gotten a Rockstar Social Club video out of it. At the time, I didn't know it was supposed to be removed....

I haven't had this world even since the beta version (and after some time, the game kept crashing when one happened). Since then, all the random events I get are the on foot, mostly someone running from an officer, but rarely, a drunk person too. I don't get too many chases in cars, mostly pull someone over for running a red, or have a look at someone acting strange. Things should change by the next release though, as I'm sure the more major bugs would be worked out (like certain call outs not starting when you accept to respond to them.) Would be nice to see other ones come back, like the fleeing robbers one (My "patrol area" right now in Suffolk/Exchange has 2 Bank of Liberty Branches, in addition to various other financial institutions, so it's a shame it's not too common to see.)

Well, it seems like they have kept Pursuit World Events, as they were featured in one of NB's preview videos for RC2, although they still seem to be rare. At least they are there! :smile:

I just want to clear up a few things for those of you not testing:

1.) The pursuit events supposedly can happen, but like many of you I haven't had a single one since the original leaked beta copy. It has been brought up before the development team, and they've assured the testers that it's being worked on. I have not had any status updates on it in months, however.

2.) Some features were removed from RC1 and RC2 due to stability issues, particularly the bomb threat call out. It was terribly glitchy especially with car placement and furthermore didn't even make much sense from a patrolman point of view. Police departments have bomb squads for that, a patrolman's only job would be to block off a street with a patrol car and tell civilians to stay back. It's being worked on and was not scrapped.

3.) The drunkard world event being missing was a miscalculation. It now appears more frequently, but the foot chase world event saturates the game more than anything else. Again, this has been talked about and a fix is supposed to be in the works.
