Sorry but agree with LCPD-74  Caddallic not great choice to use as a cop car  shoulda stuck with today's modern police car's that 99% of departments have and use and coulda done a better job with choosing a lightbar esp with today's modern lightbar's

Now I believe he mentioned quite awhile ago that he was using low-quality placeholder models whilst most of the scripting is done. I bet you'll change your mind when this game is coming to a release and seeing the amount of quality work and effort that has been put into it.

I don't understand how you don't like a game because of its cars. Even if they stick with this, it's still a game where you play as a police officer. Isn't that what you want? Does the car really matter that much? Plus, I think they said there might be modding capabilities, but I'm not sure. The game is nowhere near being released yet. The models and graphics are really just in place for them to test the scripting.
 
At least with this game, they're actually making their own models instead of buying them from other people and showing them as their own.

I don't know what world you live in, but if you have a different opinion than someone else, then yes, they will challenge you on it. That's how life is, not just this website. Here at least we're respectful about it and don't say "Hey, fuck you, you don't agree with me therefore you are an idiot that deserves to die" like other places on the internet.

Ive see some video footage of this game on youtube from last year. The menu looks lile it came from SWAT 4. The vehicles look like a solid model with no details and a skin texture wrapped around it, kinda like in swat 4, midtown madness etc..

The entire game has pretty much been rewritten since then. They aren't focusing on graphics right now, that will be later. Right now they are working on the base game and its features. The graphics won't be amazing, but the gameplay should be.

not bad i just dont see why would they use a caddy and not a crown vic, explorer and such i thing the best police mode i seen so far is need for speed at lease there the the police modes are batter

To add to their silliness, I'ld like to point out that the car that they "don't like" won't even be in the final game, since it's just a placeholder.

Anyway, I don't think I'll miss them in the MP sessions anyway. Just don't want them to lose the experience playing this (the way it's going) epic game.

Uh-huh. I'm sure. Is it also normal to have opinions based on weak grounds, if any at all?

 

Look, let me level with you dude. I can respect you defending people about having opinons but issue here is we have an opinion so flawed it's bashing an early version (prototype?) of a police simulator because it's using one placeholder model, implying he'll completly pass it on just beacause of that. Generally I would welcome different opinions and I do. Others who mentioned the car at least acknowledge the fact that it's an early version of this game and the vehicle is quite possibly a placeholder model which will get changed in time. Meanwhile this other person is so ignorant he won't even look at it with those facts in mind and is treating it like it's some "finished" version of the game.

 

What would've become of LCPDFR if majority of those people just saw it and thought: "oh, you can just call for backup, I'll pass it on" while in fact it's some early version in the works or something? Or Driver San Francisco, when it was just a grey boxy city with blops of ugly vehicles driving like they were on rails? Nothing as succesful probably, although that can be debated. There are just no grounds for opinions like them and while those people can certainly hold them, it doesn't mean that they're any less stupid or that they won't recieve backlash.
