Braveheart's Automatic Number Plate Recognition System + Speed Radar

Featured Replies

Braveheart's Automatic Number Plate Recognition System + Speed Radar

  • Is a script modification which simulates an ANPR/ALPR system with a speed radar
  • Allows for customisation
  • Detection marker can be moved around in real-time using NUMPAD (4 left, 5 reset, 6 right, 8 forward, 2 backwards, 9 up, 3 down)
  • A sound will play when a detection is made, the system will lock in all details of the vehicle except the speed which will continue to be read
  • A marker will be added to the identified vehicle
  • System can be reset using the toggle key

It's a UK thing, not sure what the US equivalent would be or if there is one. A Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN) is where an individual reports their vehicle as not being used or kept on a publi

Works great.  Thanks for an excellent add on.

Good stuff Braveheart, very convenient to have the two-in-one in such a nice convenient package. I really hope you're able to do some interesting things with the LCPDFR1.0 API if that sort if thing is on your radar.

Would there be a way to make it so the same vehicle will always give you the same ANPR results? I remember in one of the existing ANPR mods it was eventually made so that if you scanned car A and got license plate ABC123 with an arrest warrant, then scanned another car, if you scanned car A again you'd get the same number plate and alert you got the first time.

Other suggestions, if you're after them, might be to make it possible to increase or decrease the frequency of alerts, or possibly for users to customise the alert messages to some phrases they are more familiar with.

Once I can get 1.0 running reliably I may give the API a look.

Re persistent vehicles yes it is absolutely possible just it involves significantly more work. (It is even possible to have every vehicle given its own plate, entirely synced in multiplayer, too.) Each scanned vehicle would have to be stored and then said store consulted during each scan. There's already the option to alter frequency, I had planned to make the individual alert wording customisable at some point.

Feel free to voice any suggestions here.

What does the alert "OFF ROAD" mean?  There is more to that alert but can't remember the entire string- something like ORVO-OFF ROAD..something like that.

Thanks for the work Braveheart...it does function very well and fits seamlessly.

Will customizable buttons come in the future? I use those buttons for my ELS, and although I have already moved my corresponding ELS buttons it would be nice if you can customize the buttons to use.

Also plate numbers? Will those be implemented. In my opinion the plate numbers to me are more important than the color of the car, since you have the marker that indicates what car we are suppose to be going after.

Another thing I thought about when I was playing was using the marker for cars that are in the red (unless that may require to much). I know that many cars may pass by depending on what your red number is set too. May be unstable.

You have done an amazing job here, and I can finally see the circle marker more clearly since it is blue and not white. I know that was a gripe of mines in some other scripts. I feel as if I can finally sit at the bottom of the hill and catch car speeds at the top before they see me and slow down.

Good to see you back man, bravos.

I dont remember seeing anything to increase blip size, however I think the blip is the perfect size right now. You can catch both lanes of traffic if you put it in the middle on the hash marks.

It seems to get anything between you and the blip like a real radar.  I put it in the far lane and get both.

Also another suggestion, when you reset the APR is there a way to keep the blip in place? Sucks to have to move the blip back to your spot after having a car get read. I turned the detector up to 16000, and it sort of solves the moving problem because it is less frequent.

However I think that may be something to work on still.
