Summer or winter, which do you prefer?

Featured Replies

Sorry for the random question. I personally prefer the summer because of the the weather, it's spring here but its cold and gray weather  (similar to LC weather) So, which do you prefer?

In the summer, I wait for winter so I can just lay in my warm bed while its cold. In the winter, I wait for summer because I miss it so much! But new years night was beautiful, the snow was literally sparkly  And after winter, it's just a bunch of depressing mud

I same here

i take off my pants and mildly masturbate.

I like Summer after the pollen has mostly all fallen and I can cut my nice green grass. But I think fall and winter are a bit nicer. October is one of my favorite months because we have the STATE FAIR and Halloween.

EDIT: But I guess I like both the same. But I HATE SPRING

I don't know why but I really like the cold. When it was in the 20s and 30s in NY I was that kid who wore shorts on some days. And I'm gonna sound like a bitch but, I hate bugs and there aren't a lot in the winter...

Shit, I forgot about the bugs, I hate when I'm trying to relax and a fly decides to ruin it for me, my property is infested with stink bugs so it's going to be twice as hard keeping them out of my house, I'm so glad that I'm moving soon :)

One of my favorite things about summer is this noise:

Someone invented a funny use for it too:

Don't forget before summer is spring and a lot of pollen......and snakes......and spiders.....and bees.....and REALLY HOT temperatures

Spring and Autumn are my favourites. In summer, it's too hot here (gets up to about 47oC - 116oF on some days) and in winter (after getting used to an average temperature of about 28oC - 82oF during autumn and spring) it's too cold, despite never dropping below 5oC (41oF).

Around about 25oC to 30oC are my favourite temperatures.

Makes LA seem like alaska the way you put it.

Summer. It's nice waking up on a school morning to sun. And when break starts, going out on my deck in boxers is the best feeling ever. The only problem is that the landscapers for our townhouse complex can only do the lawn mowing at 7AM.

Winter, there's barely any snow (apart from this year) and when there is, its only good the day of, after that, all there is is slush and that cheap dirty ice plowed into the side of the road. It's really not fun.

Winter. Because in the Winter, I don't have to sit in my room with my laptop (with downgraded resolution btw [because during Winter I have space to put my External monitor in, during summer I move my laptop to my bedroom & can't fit the big table & have to take this small, kids size table] ) & have the AC come down on it & freeze my hands when it reaches night time

Waayyyyy to the East over here, it hardly gets cold enough to snow (I think it only snowed twice in the whole history of the world here), & during Summer it gets so freakin' hot that you have to go bare chest if you want to climb a flight of stairs without sweating.

Gotta love the way everything looks in snow.

I like them both equally.

In the winter you've got lots of snow, ice and lovely scenery. There is nothing like getting out of bed, going into the front room turning the fire on and sitting by it with a hot cup of coffee and just looking at the lovely covering of snow outside. It also makes it fully acceptable to be drinking coffee with 2 inches worth of Baileys Liquor in it.

The downside to winter is all the spiders come inside. I cannot stand spiders. Arachnophobia ftw. *shudders*

In the summer though, you've got beautiful vibrant colours everywhere, flowers birds and happy everything. And thus you can sit in your shorts and t-shirts in a beer garden at the local pub with a pint and relax with friends. Alternatively you can put on your walking boots and go for a walk around some of the most beautiful places ever. We have one which I live right next to called the Peak District National Park.

The downside of summer is wasps. Wasps ruin everything. (bees are fine, they don't bother you)
