That's the way Rockstar does stuff, it leaves a lot of hype in it's wake.

It's all good publicity when people engage in discussions about true or fake, or whether this product will be released on such a date on a certain platform etc.

All the time people are talking about R* even if it's negative it's free press and keeps them relevant.

Don't see why this would be fake. If I was a BETA Tester of GTA V myself I would also sneaky take images and spread around so people know what they may expect.

People want to be popular. That's why. I also saw a picture somewhere, in which the location of the main character in the "real" video was actually taken in a park near Castle Gardens in GTA IV.

Yeah I just went there myself and took a pic. The guy was pretty good with photoshop no doubt about that. cleared the other buildings from the background and cut the tower block on the left down to size as well.

Exactly, the building on the right was coloured blue (easy), the building on the left chopped down (medium) and the sky and background buildings were replaced (easy). It is quite obvious if you look closely, the left building's roof is too sharp, the sky does not look like it belongs there and the background buildings are not in-game focused and show signs of being taken with a DSLR.

Airport on an island is a genius location ! <edit: just noticed the runways on the main landmass so that's not so odd. Though no point in landing a plane on that island as there is feck all there.

Well, if this is real, I guess that Island could represent what could be the GTA version of Catalina Island. They do have an airport as a means of getting to the Island, and I believe it isn't that far away from LA IRL. I should say though, part of my BS meter is reading high on this also. Los Santos seems far too small from what we should expect, and that map, just feels like a hacked up photoshop job on a San Andreas Map and slapped on a GTA IV pause menu. The next thing is, even though it is still fairly early to have anything like that I'd guess is the lack of anything on that map that would show specific location icons.

I'm really edging towards this being fake myself.

GTA V, Will only feature Los santos and areas of the country side (From what Ive heard), So yeah, In short, When it comes to "areas" SA was bigger, But there apparently attempting to make los santos HUGE, As in as big as the real L.A, :D

Well I dont see why they would make it a little boring map, if their gonna do the real sh*t then do it right and put all of it in there! I hope that it comes out great and is bigger than Liberty City so it wont get so boring.

Liberty City is a hell lot more interesting that the map in SA if you ask me, the city feels much more alive than all the dull cities in SA.

What I liked about SA was the wide-openness. It just feels too compact in LC. Just imagine the pursuits on the highways if a version of LCPD:FR is made for it.

I agree, If only they would combine SA's size and LC's atmosphere. It would make the next GTA amazing.
