  • You probably knew this but just push V in the game to snap a screen, its like a built in fraps, thats how I take all of mine. They save automatically to a Microsoft Flight Sim X folder in your picture

  • Screw that mathematical nonsense, I always began my descent whenever it felt appropriate, never went wrong. Say, anyone play X-Flight 10?

I have it, used to play a lot but haven't loaded it in quite awhile. I used to love getting online and playing hops on servers, especially the shorter hops...Didn't see the point in hour + long hop lists.

Yeah servers were fun. Shame Microsoft dropped support for them, I mostly just use Vatsim now

I didn't play it yet when the servers were still active so I never got to experience that. Just play on private small servers now or connect to another person. Nice 777 in those above photos, LOVE that plane. It was a little expensive but worth every penny I thought

Glad to see some other Sim Pilots on here. I love it because I'm an Air Traffic Control major in College so it's nice to see things from the other side every once in a while.

Yup, I already  had the NGX and so at first I didn't really see a point in getting it. It's so much different, though, and I love it.

II have played FSX here and there but never taken it seriously which is probably why I find it boring.

I usually taxi straight out and fly, get bored, either leave or keep flying. If I keep flying, it usually ends when I get to my destination as I have yet to find out the proper way to land :P

These mods look epic, could you guys post which sites you get the graphics and other mods on like ground crew traffic etc?

Take your flight level(EX:FL350 or FL235. 35,000 or 23,500 thousand feet. ) Multiply that times 3 and you will get your miles away from the runway you need to start descending. I usually  idle engines and set vertical speed to to 1500 or 2000.

I used to play FS all the time. I had all the add ons, scenery, etc. I'm still with Delta Virtual Airlines and used to fly like 2-3 legs in the Maddog Pro with track IR back in the day.

I still control on VATSIM, though I haven't done much flying lately. Probably because I fly every day at work so, flight sim kind of lost its appeal. That combined with my GTA gaming taking up most of my free time...

I thought that was FSX at first. What Embraer is that?

Hah, I wish. My computer is pretty high end so FSX looks great, but not that good.

It's the E145XR. I'm a First Officer with ExpressJet airlines operating under the United Express side of the company.

I used to play FSX but it was crap on my pc. I play fs2004 now once in a while when I get in the mood to fly and really like it. I fly a lot of Delta planes doing short flights from orlando to atlanta and maybe newark too. I sometimes fly Jetblue A320s out of ORL to EWR a lot. I have some old, and I mean OLD videos of window view flights I used to fly and record and play back afterwards using some fs software that I cant remember. BTW I use simple controls. not that complicated buttons and switches and checklist stuff everyone uses.

Check out the spoiler for videos

I use to play FSX lots, I'm a pilot for Canadian Xpress VA on the Vatsim network, but I've lost my disk and flight stick so I'm in the process of getting new ones. http://store.madcatz.com/brands/saitek/Saitek-PRO-flight-commercial-pilot-bundle-for-PC.html thats the new set up I'm looking to buy.

I'm also a controller on Vatsim so I'm online every now and then.

I used to fly since FS98 up to FSX but I stopped doing it since I married. We moved together and there's no room for the equipment ever since. I was never a fan of FSX because the simulator always crashed when I changed to another aircraft.  FS2004 was my favorite and with all the addons I had I think it was way better than FSX. What also bugs me about FSX is that Microsoft wants a good amount of money for each new DLC aircraft.

I am one of the original founding members of VERTva. Back in the day we where one of the largest virtual VA's online. I sometimes miss it and still do fly once a month or so but like with many here GTA takes most of my free time now.

Screw drugs! FSX is a much more expensive habit! *Stares at $384.88 PMDG shopping cart longingly*

This is one of the only pics I could find from my flights. (had to attach it as IPB is developed by retards!)
