I've answered this question multiple times before. DashCamIV does not require .extra to work. All it does it check a website which no longer exists so it fails, it does not mean Dashcam stops working, and does not affect the operation of DashCam.

 As you can see it's failing to access the website listed. I've used Dashcam this error always appears and it still works, if your not seeing anything I'm guessing you used the .exe installer? the .exe installer I've found does not install the required fonts file, and a few other files I believe, you need to get the .zip version and put those files in the scripts folder.

For controls and features read the ReadMe as that contains all the information you will need.

Installing modded cars will require OpenIV (google search it), adding scripts has always been a drag and drop feature, just read the readme's with each one for more information, but as a rule of thumb all scripts that are .net.dll go in to the scripts folder and all .asi scripts will go in to the root folder (the one with LaunchGTAIV.exe) and the corresponding .ini files go with the main script file.

All ELS cars should be compatible, but mod authors will specify if their cars are ELS8 built.

EFLC is Episodes From Liberty City, basically an expansion pack on the game adding more car slots.

And as for tips, just enjoy the game and the company, if you ever need any help you have come to the right place.

Looks like Origin is trying to pull some more customers their way by giving away free games, I'm not going to complain :P

Just finished watching the E3 press conference release of the PS4, and I'm happy to say PS4 has won a spot in my heart, I loved all the jabs they took at Microsoft when announcing that you WILL be able to buy used games, you will not need to be connected to the internet once a day to play even Single player.
 
They did announce that to play Multiplayer, you will need to become a PS Plus subscriber, that costs about $5/month but think of what you get being a PS Plus member, able to upload saves to the cloud, free games, and more. I think thats more than what you get from the X1.

That, and the PS4 is a hundred bucks (That's like two and a half tanks of gas!) cheaper than the Xbox One. Which is a major deal for my books.

Also, the ability to trade games and playing offline is key for someone like me in the military where the internet is not always an option.
