Best scene/moment in a videogame

Featured Replies

I wanted to check with the community as we are (most of us) avid gamers and enjoy a broad selection of games, ranging from RPGs to FPS to Puzzle-Games. There are some pretty good games out there. I think we all have some favorite game, or favorite games even. But for me, there are sometime moments in games that are unforgettable and that just stuck with me for a long time.

One of my favorite games ever is Knights of the Old Republic. It was a really powerful game, with good graphics for its time and a story to match. I spent my younger days in that game, and I still replay it from time to time. I believe I have played that game to 100% completion atlteast 15 times, but one scene always stuck with me.

Opening the door to the Endar Spire bridge, right at the start of the game. Seeing the battle in space, knowing that you get to explore the surface of the nearby planet any minute now. There are a lot of awesome scenes in this game, and if you haven't played it you really, really should.

Let me know what your favorite moment/scene is :)

EDIT: Just want to add, if you are going to post spoilers, please put them in spoiler tags no matter how old the game is.

The spoiler goes here

The ending of RDR is incredibly powerful in my opinion.

My favorite game moment was when I played GTA V the first time. I was so fascinated by the look of the scenery and the high level of detail which R* put into the game. I was also surprised by the character-switching feature kind of thing. At first I thougt it was stupid but when I first used in in a mission it was just stunning.

So I have to say GTA V is one of the best games I've ever played. But for me it is the GTA with the worst radio stations ever. (don't know why)

Best scene/moment, huh?

I think I would choose this one from Vice City:

Just the music and everything in that game... Still leaves me saying wow.

EDIT: The video should start at 38 minutes and 41 seconds. If it doesn't, just follow this link.

I had some footage from today on gta iv , was pulling up behind my friend in a traffic stop , steering right a little hard , slammed into a wall and flew through the window at 15 miles an hour .....

Oh boy...there are a lot. At the Moment i can only think of:

Red Dead Redemption

The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

GTA IV

Bioshock Infinite

All unique in their own way and (for me) really emotional

I do like the ending if L.A. Noire. It gives that bitter taste of injustice and sorrow, not like all those heroic-happy-ends in many games. The closed coffin with the service cap, crying ladies, and those corrupt bastards giving thankful speeches... Almost like in Kubrick's 'Chinatown' - I mean the atmosphere.
