  • with 0.95 it would vary but I could get over an hour sometimes. With v1.0 though I get to play about 10-15 minutes and its a lucky day if I make it longer than that. I do use a lot of mods on top of F

With 0.95 i could play for an hour or an hour and half without crashing (i would only crash because of pursuits and the game couldn't handle modded cars and ELS).

With 1.0a it will be anywhere between 10-20 minutes, maybe 30-45 minutes if i'm lucky

Wow To be Honest i thought i was the only one that crash  between 1 to 30 mins... I was trying to figure it out cause I have no errors in the LCPDFR Log or other Logs that is present... So i just re install GTA IV, Added cars that is not High Poly Models , No adding PEds Skins,,,, .. I do have a spawn Script to add more police cars to patrol. and traffic Flow mod... and Disable Els for Ai.. So i now look to see how long i can play now! :) i will update my Results!

BTW on 0.95 Fully moded it would be rarely i would crash.i can play the entire day without crashing.. I know the new LCPDFR takes alot of memory and makes me wonder if LCPDFR 1.0 is meant for Stock GTA iv game play no other mods.. But AGAIN there is other patches that will come out to fix the issue well i hope! :)

Every 20-25 minutes I crash. It gets actually really frustrating but I'm thinking it's either my CPU or that my computer cannot handle recording and all the ELS enabled police chasing a suspect.

Do you guys think buying a really good cpu better then the one I have now (Intel i5 2400 3.10 ghz quadcore) and upgrading it too a Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5ghz would be better for recording and stopping crashes?

that would help but you should be fine with an intel i5 2400 3.10 ghz, what kind of graphics card do you have, might help if you upgraded that. Also im guessing you have 8gbs of ram also!

PC hardware, some components interact better with IV for some reason.

It also depends on the mods, LCPDFR is more stable on some machines, maybe it's hardware or maybe it's software, it's difficult to tell. I generally don't change mods often and I remove any mods that aren't stable.

ELS is pretty stable these days, at least if you have a "decent" PC and you use good* mods.

LCPDFR seems to be the biggest offender in regard to stability right now. Most of my crashes happens whenever LCPDFR tries to do something with the AI.

*mods made with in-game performance in mind.

^Do not use resource heavy mods (ELS, ELS cars, overabundance of scripts etc).

I only have 2 scripts installed. Indicator and Strober. and then LCPDFR 1.0 and simple native trainer.

Nice to have seen this thread, I thought I was the only one.  The longest I've run is almost 2 hours but I'm usually between 10-40 minutes with the rare one happening within around 5 minutes.  So I'm assuming this error still being looked into, example below with fresh crash.

[ERROR - 8:49:18 PM] [Main] CRITICAL ERROR DURING MAINLOOP! REPORT THIS ISSUE AT LCPDFR.COM BY INCLUDING THIS LOGFILE.

Yeah you should be ok, what recording program do you have?

I usually use Xsplit but i'm thinking of going back too fraps I'm not exactly sure, I'm pretty sure Xsplit does use up a huge amount of resources too record.

I use LCPDFR 1.0a, ELS v7, all civilian cars modded, all police cars modded, Game4Video ENB, all of Abraxas's mods except for the K9 one, indicator, traffic load, and simple native trainer on EFLC. I can play anywhere from 1-999 minutes without crashing. Although I've never tried to play for 999 minutes straight....

For about as long as I want to, 2-3 hours. To be honest I don't play GTA IV that much anymore, I have a bunch of other games to play.

0 minutes (crash during loading) - forever (when I get bored and stop playing). It varies greatly. Sometimes I'll crash on the way to the station, sometimes as soon as I start to patrol, sometimes because of a certain error (like the freval thing), sometimes it will be fine until I'm done playing (then it crashes on exit, of course).
