Cod Ghosts: Is It Dead?

I'm sorry but I had to...

Other than the new vegetation on some of the maps, it feels like all the other CoD games that have came out in recent years. Battlefield 4 on the other hand may just be the CoD killer, and as a Battlefielder, I hope it is.

The latest Battlefield game I played was Bad Company I and II, and I absolutely loved 'em both. Then along came Battlefield 3 (and 4) and I just didn't find the same enjoyment (mainly because I'm more of a Singleplayer guy) as I did in Bad Company. This is my opinion though, I'm not saying that the later games are bad, poorly made etc I'm just saying that they did not appeal to me.

DICE mainly focuses on the multiplayer aspect rather than the singleplayer where as Activision (or whoever owns/develops Call of Duty now) deliver a good singleplayer story but a not so good multiplayer, in my opinion at-least.

Simulation games maybe, Call of Duty isn't even in the same ballpark in regards to simulation, so I usually don't compare.

As for this new game, it's not bad, though I find it plays very similarly to Black Ops, which I actually don't like.

In regards to the story, it's pretty good, but nothing as good compared to the Modern Warfare series.

Feels like it's the same engine, not exact, but the shooting, the animations and walking feels the same. Even the story feels like something Treyarch wrote.

I didn't like Black Ops, and I kinda hated Black Ops II. I really hope it ain't some sort of Infinity Ward-made Black Ops III, 'cause that would mean I've wasted 35 euros (game is still downloading)...

The only good CoD in my eyes is; 1, 2, 3 Mw1 And WaW. After that it went to shit.  CoD is milked out now. They're doomed. DOOOOOMEED!!! But in CoD games there can be a few suprises. In Cod 3 You walk into a room. BAM! A german jumps out and scares the s*it outa me. Hand To Hand combat in 3 i really miss.

I can't believe that it made more in the first day of release than GTA V did  :wallbash:  :wallbash:

They did but nobody likes the game so they're DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMD! Nah, GTA 2 is f*ckin' better then ghosts. True story, Activision is dead. And they going to realese a new CoD next year  :wallbash:

I personally like both series, but the Battlefield series a bit more. I enjoy the CoD series when I play by myself and just mindlessly run and gun, whereas I enjoy the Battlefield series with my friends because you have to set up sort of an attack plan in order to win the game. And the fact that the BF series allows you to change a map by blowing just about anything. From the people I've talked to who are die-hard CoD players, they said that the multiplayer for Ghosts wasn't very good, but the campaign was really good. Granted the BF4 campaign was only 7 missions long, the actual missions themselves were quite in-depth and immersive. I haven't gotten Ghosts yet, I probably will for Christmas, but I went out and bought Battlefield 4 because i really wanted that game. From what my friends have said, they do not enjoy the multiplayer whatsoever, so I'm not really looking forward to it, but I'll get it eventually and try the multiplayer. Although I'll probably get pissed at it like I have every other Call of Duty because of quickscoping, which I find completely stupid and childish, mainly because of Battlefield and the fact that you have to actually snipe and adjust for wind and distance. Anyhow, I don't think CoD is dead, but I think it is slowly going downhill, while in my opinion, the BF series is growing.

this.

Call of Duty is enjoyable, I must say, but realistic? Absolutely not! Battlefield dominates CoD in realism.

Neither of them really are. They're just shooters, not war simulations.

For instance, the Gunship (AC-130) is available to all factions in multiplayer although it is no secret that the USAF is the only user of the aircraft.

Yeah, you have a point. However, while Battlefield tries to be realistic, it has to also balance multiplayer gameplay. If the US had a gunship but the other team didn't, the other team would need either a gunship of their own or some other advantage that equals out the disadvantage. Of course in a real battle, the teams would not be "balanced" but in a multiplayer game, they have to be. If you want super realistic military combat simulation, choose Arma.
