  • In what civilized country does a police officer carry an RPG?

  • I said civilized.

  • Well, it may take a LOT of coding, but how about a real life MDT (Optional for all you people who don't like stuff like this) , like when you get a call and you get on scene, you go into your MDT and

You can always release the suspect again (aim and hold E) and re-arrest them and choose prisoner transport this time.

It really worked. Thanks.

I would like to see some more ways to 'police' Liberty City. I know that First Response is about being a beat cop, patrolling and enforcing the law. I also know that many others have suggested this before, but;

  • Noose callouts (not necessarily warrants or big drug busts, but just for when you play as the Noose model, you get higher risk callouts (fleeing armed suspects, drug deals in progress)
  • FIB callouts (pretty much same as above but even higher risk and more 'investigative' callouts (If there were any and If that makes any sense?!)
  • Cuffing dead suspects; Whether this is possible on RAGE and if the animations are there, I would like to handcuff dead suspects (as a precaution)
  • Riots ; Now I know thats like asking for Christmas again 3 times but I'd love to hand out some 'baton round justice' to the populus of LC.
  • Bank/shop Robbery; I'd love to just stand behind my cruiser, aiming at the doors of the bank/shop and watching as some guys in ridiculous amounts of armor walk out with AKs and bags of cash.

Forgive me if any of these are actual mods and/or have been mentioned before but these are the main few that I'd be most interested in. And thanks for 1.0 and moving crims around; I literally spent about half an hour just filling up every car in a street with random people : )

tyjf.gif76561198040985180.pngPlease like the post if it helped (or didn't) :)

I would like it if I could have the option to disable the random radio chatter that LCPDFR plays. Yes its a great realistic feature, but it gets loud and over takes my voice when I record and upload videos to youtube !

Just make your recording louder then!

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Just make your recording louder then!

Yeah i found a "work around" its a very nice feature don't get me wrong. I would just like to have the option. And sometimes the chatter repeats itself like 3 times in a row, as if the computer was having delirium. lol !

I propose to make a detailed selection of running mate to Model also tuned. For example your model fatcop, teammate usual cop). For noose units and fib the number of teammates do 3-4), can also do more specialized range of tasks for noose (terrorist attack on the subway or on another subject, defusing the cartel), FIB (eg task at a time to calculate the bypass location and arrest hacker hack into government networks) and for the police.

Sounds pretty good. It would take a while if even possible...

police help you on foot chase

new world events

better partner

police station armory

Assign units to help you or follow you in convoy like to help with bait car

more aware backup

I like the convoy idea.

I said this on another post but if we could get rid of the regular tutorial that explains about the inside office area we could put a jail cell in the building and we could walk the suspects into the building and place them in a jail cell. I have a jail cell that i converted from gta sa that could be placed in the building. And the same way they did the laptops in the police vehicles they could do to the computers in the office so we could fill out a report and it could be linked to lcpdfr exactly like the laptops in the police vehicles. It all sounds pretty easy. It could be a separate mod or work with 1.0. Think about it. Now that's realism for you...lol

I thought of some stuff I'd really really love to see implemented into the game (hopefully others will agree?);

Improve stuff with NOOSE, I used to play a lot of SWAT (1-4) and I loved it, stuff you can add:

Dangerous callouts when using a NOOSE model, examples;

-Bank robbery in progress, robbers robbing a bank and the security informed the police/civilian called the police while hiding somewhere, you need to eliminate the robbers and rescue all hostages, in some cases robbers actually make it out and escape in a vehicle, you need to stop them and recover the money

-BIG drug deal happening, for example some alley or airport hangar perhaps with a lot of criminals equipped with automatic weapons and vans around with drug props, like cocaine packages etc.

-Terrorist situation; terrorists taking over some office building or something, one terrorist has a bomb and if you don't take care of him in time, building blows up and you just respawn or something?

-Hostage situation; robbers invading a clothing store/jewelry store/fast food restaurant or similar stuff, they had stuff gone wrong and now threaten to kill captured civilians if not have their wishes fulfilled (though you can still raid and do it successfuly without losing any hostages with this next idea:)

-Add flashbangs, I saw a flashbang mod around the forums if I'm not wrong but it's still WIP as far as I can see, it destroys props and needs to be worked on. Seeing as you guys are skilled scripters maybe you can make it better, add a nice realistic sound and a realistic effect.

-Roof insertions: Say if there's terrorist attack/robbery with hostage situation you can board a chopper and have the chopper land you at the roof/rappel down from the chopper to the roof and have a good access from another point of the interior.

-Add callouts if you have an active NOOSE pilot model suiting it, for example you recieve a backup call request to assist with a pursuit that's currently in progress or track a suspect that has evaded on foot, if the other cops lose sight and you spot them then you inform them and they'll chase them again, if you lose sight as well you'll need to try and spot them or give up and let the ground units try to spot them- that is if you use the normal police maverick, you can also maybe add callouts suiting the annihaltor if you're currently using it, which will give you the same calls like I suggested before but in addition alsot have a deadly force authorized call added if shit hits the fan.

-Make it possible to command your NOOSE team, maximum of 4 people including you- "Go to-.." "Take cover" "Secure hostage" "Go quiet"(they won't shoot on sight) "Go loud" (Will shoot ARMED suspects on sight, or aim at all suspects they see and try to make them surrender, if they're about to shoot then they will be taken out) maybe you can add it in a menu similar to the menu when you hold capslock. (switch menus key? If you press something it changes to the original capslock menu, if you press it again it will change to NOOSE command team menu)

(other suggestions than NOOSE)

-More callouts that aren't implemented yet, really anything as long as it makes sense.

-Non lethal weapons? We already have a taser, but what about a beanbag shotgun or pepper spray?

This will improve LCPD:FR a lot in my opinion, because you can also have some nice tactical action instead of just taking the normal officer routine.

I'm still wondering about some investigative aspects...

Imagine: you got the call on the murder scene.

When you arrive, you see a body (or a wounded person, it may depend), and maybe a few witnesses. You must secure the area, then you must take care of the victim, and then you may search the area. If you lucky, you may find a knife or a gun in a dumpster, which you can collect. You also can ask the witnesses, like you usually do:

1. Investigate the suspect

2.Check ID

3. And here, only in case of this callout, may be some dialog options with simple answers. Like "Did you see it?" "Yes" "Can you describe the suspect?" "yes [a random, not too detailed, description]"

Then you can bring evidence and witnesses to the station. After leaving the station, there's a random chance you'll have a location marked where a killer may be. You arrive there, there may be a suspect, may be an aggressive gang, or no one at all, but some evidence left. Or the same, but witness describe a car instead of a person, and if this car is located, there may be some evidence in the trunk.

I don't know if it really possible or is anyone interested in such a thing, but... Looks nice to me, at least

A few changes I'd like to see:

The ability to select which voice to use for yourself and partner (limited by ped model still, if need be). Going on duty sets your voice, and that affects what audio files play in certain situations, but if you change voices with SNT or other ways, they don't match anymore.

The ability to select liveries when choosing cars.

Hello everyone . Driving past the club Maysonet today I had the idea to spend a raid under the auspices of DEA . Imagine doing this in the form of a regular scripted missions (not on patrol ) with the subject :The mission begins at the station. Our character detective, FIB agent or officer of the DEA . Partner also from the same department. We were instructed to carry out a raid at the club and arrest those caught with drugs. To help us give NOOSE unit , two vans with eight fighters . We drive to a night club , special forces passes through two entrances , two fighters controlled by the situation , the others start to search visitors . As a result, catch a drug dealer , a couple of armed guys , you can still find a crook with stolen credit cards. NOOSE outputs of building detainees drives a van for transporting detainees, solemnly charged them there, and we go back to the station. Mission accomplished .

I love the 1.0 version so far, and to be honest I got surpised how good it turned out to be when I first tried it. Love it. But of course there are some htings i can point out that I wish would be fixed or added. Let me know what you think!

  1. Make all LCPDFR synced at the same volume as the SFX volume are set to, as for my self when I play when I'm not ready for the sound to appear I get shit scared as I have my SFX and radio volume set to like 5% in game, and trust me when the LCPDFR sound kicks in it's playing the sound so my headset almost vibrates off my ears. No offence, but thats a big deal that I'd love to see fixed.

  2. Make the arrest system able to multitask, as I've noticed that when I've arrested 2 persons at the same time and put but of them in the car (which by the way is amazing) and drive of to the station to drop them I get to go over the deliver cut scene two times in order to drop both of the arrests off. Also I'd love to be able to skip the cut scene from time to time and having that added to the system would be great aswell.

  3. Maybe tweek the paramedics a little as they are probably the dumbest NPC's in the entire game, I've called them probably 50 times already and most of the time they never show up or they just drive past me and god knows where they go. Thay never stop and help the injured persons that my partner shot or got hit by a car or what ever happened to them.

  4. Adding a system when you go to a call, we say I get a call for a possible shots fired call. It would be amazing if you could call for an other unit to drive with you over to the location and join with the call. Sort of a backup call, oh hell why not every call, the ability to respond to backup calls, and get backup with you on your call would be amazing.

  5. Last thing, being able to play LCPDFR with friends is amazing but it's not running that great. I'm probably not only speaking for my self in this case but adding a netcode or something to sync the LCPDFR engine over the network would be amazing, the ability to play with friends, get calls together, backups together, everything that would just be amazing!

A little something about your last points, the previous ones I agree with and they are good ideas.

The EMS AI is that way in the vanilla GTA IV, and it is part of the GTA charm that they kill more than they save. I think one of the devs stated that there won't be implemented any EMS "fixes". Of course, there are other mods that may handle EMS better to suite your needs, VDH PoliceHelper.

There already is a way to do this, if you put a GPS marker on your map and call for backup, the backup units will spawn in your general area and then drive to the waypoint. Most of the times, they do drive with you.

Keep in mind that they drive quite terribly, and will often hit stuff and hurt officers. If you're not using ELS, the cars will arrive all banged up to the scene (also part of the GTA IV charm though imo).

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I remember asking LMS about this, and IIRC, he said it's pretty hard to get the SFX volume from a script. It might be better to just keep SFX on full volume, and decrease volume through Windows (either your whole computer's volume, or GTA's volume [to do that, click on the volume icon on the taskbar while GTA is running, click on "Mixer", and then adjust GTA's volume slider; not sure if it works, but it probably should work to decrease LCPDFR's volume]).

Enhanced MP support is something we plan on adding.

I suggest to add a unique police horn sound for the pull over being done by the officers with lack of megaphone dialog in this situation. Pull over by, in example, FBI agent will be better with police horn than with nothing. What You think about this?

Please don't both make a topic with a suggestion AND post it here. Pick one or the other. Since you picked "make a topic", I'm hiding your post here.

A manhunt callout. (Please note I didn't read all 14 pages of this thread) To my knowledge manhunts are already possibly in 1.0 (granted I've never gotten to do one). With that in mind would it be possible to be called to a search area and try to locate the suspect. If an AI finds him you can be notified some how and head over to them or just clear the scene.
