Hey i found a bug, i got a callout, it was a shoot fired callout, when i killed them i died because they shot me! And some of they still remain in the location.then, i appeared in hospital and tried to kill the remains. But when they have died the red arrow and red marker is still appear in the screen and map. It is so annoying. This bug is only occur in shoot fired only. If it can be fixed, then please fix it.

the only solution to fix it is load save game again or restart game.

  • In what civilized country does a police officer carry an RPG?

  • I said civilized.

  • Well, it may take a LOT of coding, but how about a real life MDT (Optional for all you people who don't like stuff like this) , like when you get a call and you get on scene, you go into your MDT and

There are some problems with that idea, firstly it could not be called "LCPDFR". The LCPD is probably owned by Rockstar so creating a game centered around that would not be possible. Liberty City is also not possible to use.

There are some police sims out there, but LCPDFR is actually the best one yet.

I agree with you 100% and it is the best out there... and i am perfectly contempt with it now... it would just be really interesting to see what it would be all this on a full (seperate) game

There is a bug with the MDT in-game where no buttons show up, and the MDT has no possible way of being closed - not even with "reloadscripts". Please add a hotkey to delete the overlay in the next version - we don't want to restart our whole game because of that bug.

This is something that is out of our control and was caused by a scripthook bug.

I think we've fixed it in 1.0 with our own D3D stuff, but I'm not entirely sure.

mby try to buff up riot a bit?not to much like gta san....

Riots are not part of an average day for a beatcop.

I would really like to see one improvement and that would be increased driving AI of other cops. They´re absolutely stupid ! Other good important stuff like ordering to get out of the vehicle etc. can be used with Braveheart´s PS and vdh Police Helper

The AI is hardcoded into the game and cannot be changed by the dev team, even if they wanted to.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

That's not entirely true, there's a great deal we can do to change certain parts of the AI.

Really? Well that's great news! I always thought that part of the game was locked down and "untouchable". Nice to see I was wrong.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Add in hostage calls and terrorist attacks cause the mod that does that overflows lcpdfr (disables it technicly)

I was going to repeat that the mod focuses on being a beat cop, but Sam tells me that I should really say that the mod focuses on mechanics, and generally leaves missions up to you. Plus, 1.0 will have an API, so you can make your own callouts.

I'm not sure if this is already done with this mod or Braveheart's script, as I'm unclear on this being a new user of those, but there could be a random event where, as you're patrolling along on feet or in car. a certain ped walking on sidewalk suddenly pulls out a gun without warning and fires at another ped or at you. You (and your partner if applicable) would then have to respond by taking cover, firing back, and maybe call up backup if necessary (especially if the shooter is wielding shotgun or something stronger). I should add that such events would either be rare (how many criminals suddenly shoots at someone in police presence or at cops out of the blue? it does happen but very rarely, I think) or you could change its frequency via some settings with range from 0 (disabled) to somewhere higher if possible.

Another thing: I don't know what are preset locations for shootouts but as I have yet to encounter those, it would be nice to see some of them at alleys between buildings. Would make for an interesting tactical situation.

I also would like to see car chase where you may either initiate or join. I read somewhere it was included in older version but was removed due to its glitchy nature. I don't know if v1.0 is planned to include it again or not. Would love to see it in action.

Another optional idea is a callout that requires you to come and break up fight or even gang fight (either by fists or guns). In those situations, you may have to call for backup, especially if it involves gangs AND guns.

The only thing I would ask is included is to be able to peacefully ask someone out of a car. Right now you either drag them out or aim a weapon at them and both usually send the person running. And I'm talking about not on a traffic stop, however perhaps the option menu from a traffic stop could be used when on foot and talking with a vehicles driver?

If I may ask, how do you drag driver/passenger out of the car without getting into car? There seem to be no keys for this from GTA4 or LCPDFR.

how does the api work exactly? I read the section but it didn't go into a lot of detail about it

The first one is covered by >vdH Police Helper. There are random events that happen in the world.

The second one is covered in Braveheart's script - there are small and large fights

The third one: Start stealing the car (press F) and wait until you pull the person out, then move away (press W, S, A, or D). Alternatively, with Braveheart's Policing Script, you can press ALT-F while aiming at a person in a car to order them to exit it.

1) The page you linked to and the in-game help for PoliceHelper seem unclear on whether it does have peds randomly out of blue start shooting at you without warning. It does says you may come across peds shooting at each other occasionally, though.

2) I'm still in early stage of playing mod and have yet to encounter this. I'm assuming it's relatively rare compared to other random event categories in Police Helper. In-game help did say there's fight. Didn't know there's both small and big fights, though. What was biggest number of participants you saw in a fight, just out of curiosity?

3) Thanks, will check this out.

I think the most is 12 people all fighting each other, with Braveheart's Policing Script that is. There's a callout for small fights and a large-scale disturbance.

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

Maybe a suicide call out similar to the one already available, but only this time it's a guy jumping on a roof. He walks forward and falls if you fail.
