I don't know how many times this needs to be said, by mods, or staff, but it's time that people get this through their skulls. 

 

Every single post I see, every single mod I see uploaded, some gallery pictures, every single friggin thing on here, SOMEONE has to be a smart ass and comment something rude or asinine. It's pathetic! So much DRAMA is filled on this website it's like a 6th Grade Girls Locker-room!! No one can get along with fellow modders, every 2 minutes someone is supposedly stealing someones work.

 

Jesus christ, this isn't a "Policing Community" anymore! Obviously a lot of the younger kids here want to be police officers. What kind of friggen example are we setting to the new members of the community? If you want to be a cop in real life, then talk shit on here, good luck getting anywhere with that attitude. 

 

There's a difference between CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, and DESTRUCTIVE criticism. 

 

Everyone needs to grow up and get over their goddamn issues with people because you're just contributing the poor future of this place.

I think it's that people have ego's about themselves. No wonder people are constantly leaving because you get comments that are not needed and it upsets that modders self esteem. It's a terrible feeling having you worked so hard on a certain mod and have someone who thinks only their mods are the best and bash your mods with negative comments. That's all it takes. It's ridiculous.  

 

I agree, I will admit though, I do get involved with the drama sometimes, but that's because I just can't let things go, I will NOT be pushed around by anybody here or at home or see anybody else criticized or picked at (not dropping any names), so LCPDFR is nothing special when it comes to getting the last word in (ask my girlfriend lol) I give credit where credit is due to modders but if you're gonna be an asshole, I will let you know you're being an asshole, nothing wrong with the truth. does that make me a 6th grade girl?

Well at least then they know they need to improve instead of believing their mods are really good. If that makes me looks like an asshole I'm sorry.

It's really hard for some people to see the difference between constructive and destructive for some odd reason.

I just want people to stop being rude to people. No wonder schools are so uptight about bullying issues with youths nowadays. It starts in elementary school, where some members IN THIS COMMUNITY are from! 

 

It just needs to stop. The name calling, the poor feedback. It happens too often. It seems when 1 person says something, everyone else feels the need they have too also. That's what's so obscure. 

Whenever I see a bad skin, if they continuously make bad skins, I call out on it, if it's a beginner, I just say it needs work

Regarding people being douchey in peoples comments sections, etc.; just ignore them. The moderators would be dealing out warnings and bans left and right if they got on top of everybody who has an attitude. It just wouldn't be practical and would make the community an unappealing place due to a reputation of a heavily policed forum (no pun intended there). We just need to deal with it and move on. Hell dude, I get an ear full of crap nearly every day I boot up a game of Battlefield 3 for how I play. One kid earlier tonight went off on me several times no matter what weapon setup I used to kill him. I used an M16, a P90 a Shotgun and even just some C4 bricks. He cursed me out and called me a hacker or cheap or whatever each and every time. I just kept killing him and enjoying it. Eventually another player in the game saw it and said something to the degree of "Unreal, kudos to you for avoiding trolling and playing like a man instead of a little kid." I thanked him, and continued playing.

Anyway, despite the harrassment, I stayed where I was, and he had to deal with it.

oh please I seen worse in youtube. 

 well even thought gta is a 15+ game (18+ in some places) you can't stop the 11 years olds from playing them, and plus you wil ALWAYS have someone that thinks there smarter, I say 'everyone can speak their word, but don't over use it'

 

if you dont get what I mean, is short it just "you can say stuff but dont be a dick about it'

I agree things have things seem to have gotten a lot worse lately. Like others have said though, sometimes its hard to just let stuff go when it happens all the time. I'm not saying I'm innocent because I've been involved in my fair share of heated back and forth but were all human and if you spend any amount of time here and are involved with the community eventually its going to get to you. Plus you have a lot more people that are modding now than a year or two ago. It could be a sense of competition now and people just trying to cut each other down. That didn't exist when I started, I could release a car and it would be the only one released for days, now we have multiple cars per day. Sometimes stuff just starts by people voicing a harmless opinion about something that was in no way meant to be malicious at all but if one person takes a little offense to that, then let the flaming begin

I have to agree, I've been here since late 2010 and I've seen my fair share of flamewars of which most of those are over really stupid things. The best thing to do is simply ignore it and possibly report the post (if it's quite offensive or such) rather than "challenging" the person, that just makes things worse. 

*knock on wood* I haven't noticed any sort of drama as of yet, not that I look for any for that matter. Though to be frank I still consider myself pretty "new" still around these forums.

 

For myself I always be nice to people, old saying "give respect, get respect". There's a lot of great talent on here and its great to see. Hopefully at the end of the day people can put aside their issues with others and realise that its just a hobby/interest that people have here and they do it on their on FREE time, so pat them on the back for all their hard work, and if you don't have anything good to say.. don't say it, move on and continue on with life.
