Secondly, is it possibel to bundle skins with LCPDFR and auto install them? No worries if not.

Okay, So after the past few days and the takedowns, I went back to the WMD forums and asked if I could use Jan's contest idea. He said go for it.

 

So here we go!

 

RULES:

1. You may create a skin for any vanilla IV police vehicle, or CVPI, Tahoe or Charger.

2. For legal reasons, real life logos and names are not allowed, any submissions with real logos or names will be ignored in the final voting.

 

3. The deadline for submitting entries is August 21, 2013. Voting will open on August 22nd, 2013, and run for 30 days until Sept 22nd, 2013. The top FIVE results will be with permission uploaded for download on LCPDFR.com. In case of low entries, every result will, with permission, be included in a mod pack and uploaded to LCPDFR.com.

 

4. You may only upload the texture and TWO screenshots of the car in action. You are allowed to edit your entry, however you must use the original post with the submission in it.

In terms of "The top FIVE results will be uploaded for download on LCPDFR.com." you have to remember some users may not want to hand out such material for public download, you'll have to speak with them on that. Other than that good luck with the contest bud.

I've already put a certain amount of cash aside for prizes (think stuff like Steam games) and yes I'll ask permission before doing a skin pack, else I'll see if the five skins can be uploaded on the site.

Nah, I don't really do any type of texture work. Thanks for the offer though.

 

Is there any sort of theme to this or is just "Submit a random skin and let the best one win!"? Just curious. 

Both, It's fictional police skins, and the best (as judged by the community) skins win

How will the whole submission thing work? Will you create a group? contestants can join and files can be put into the locker? or? I feel that would be more organized other than chasing around skins all over the site. :P

You make a skin and post it and the screenshots in this topic, I'm guessing (unless he does the group thing). How voting will work - I don't know.

Voting could be done on this topic, OP gets updated with a Poll and Screenshots of each contestants work they could be anonymous votes, after said amount of time, voting will no longer count and whatever has the most votes wins :D
