Hey guys, What do you prefer?

I prefer ELS 6 because It is so much easier to understand, and not so many buttons, yes els 7 has more options and is more stable, but Els 6 is so straight forward. (IMO)

Anyways, Go ahead, do the poll (If it worked :/) and write some feed back :D

  • I don't really care. I just want my bright flashy lights. :D

  • Everything is complicated if you don't dedicate a minimum of time to it.    Yes, ELSv7 takes a few tries and a lot of .ini editing to get used to, but once you do, it's freaking great.

Fully agree,   there isn't much of a learning curve.   Take the 15-20mins or so and read the user guide and maybe another 10mins to re-read or think about how it works/start editing the ini files.

Not really, since ELS  V7 includes the 6 too if you press Alt+ another button (for me it's 0 but I'm not on american keyboard) a.k.a. Express mode.

what

express mode is not ELS 6

it's ELS 7 without all the button binds

ELS V7 For the Win! Its much more stable than V5/V6!

V6 Is less complex and is also a pain in the ass, els v6 is just one button you can go, v7 you have to go through lightstages which is a pain

i think u said my own answer els v7 its more stable way more options and light patterns, yea maybe its more complexed but its way better, i would rather have a version that is just a little more complicated at first and have it be a lot more options and functions then one that it straight forward and cant do as much

ELS 7 is great! Except when I accidentally enable Express Mode and I don't know what buttons toggles it...

I know that it's *unknown* + Backspace.

Yeah, that's extremely annoying. It happens to me all the time in multiplayer. It's either Ctrl or Alt + Backspace which toggles it.

ik that if you 9 on the numpad + backspace it will fix it lol or just 9 + backspace

I'll have to try that next time I accidently enable it, simply hitting Ctrl/Alt + Backspace also fixes it. Thanks for the tip though, I didn't know about that one!

I agree ELS V7 is to complicated that's why am using ELS V6

Half an hour used and untold hours saved from constant crashing,  weird errors and restarting your game.   Not too shabby,  worthwhile trade off.

Once you "get it",  you now have extra options/customization and some of it is automated.  You get a cool new effect and you are still pressing just that 1 or 2 keys.
