I know there's probably a lot of other topics about this, but I'm curious as to if anybody has found a solid solution.

 

Now, my problem is that when I load up my saved game on GTA IV, it will crash to desktop with no error or "Application has stopped working" message. Just crash. Now, this doesn't happen without LCPD:FR installed. My system specs are as follows:

 

 

 

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3              

       System Model: Precision WorkStation 670    

          Processor: Intel® Xeon CPU 2.80GHz (8 CPUs)

             Memory: 3070MB RAM

 

Chip Type: GeForce 9800 GTX+

Approx. Total Memory: 512.0 MB

 

If anybody needs any more information, just ask. Can anybody give me a good, solid solution?

You need a better processor and graphics card. 

Both my graphics card and processor are above GTA 4's recommended system requirements.

If you install mods, the system requirements gets higher. That's probably why your game crashes with LCPD:FR.

Like him1250 said, I think you need a better graphics card and processor too.

processor is fine, its the GPU

GPU = processor? lol

GPU is a Graphic Processing Unit, also known as Graphic/Video card, while CPU is a Central Processing Unit - a processor.

Yeah, I did everything on that list, except for running the diagnostics tool. Should I go ahead and do that? I'm planning on just buying EFLC and installing LCPD:FR on that, because I hear EFLC is more stable.

EFLC doesn't lag as much and more variety of cars, BUT you can't enter most of the shops ect that are open for Nico...who cares.

 

Yes, run the diagnostic tool and post the results.
