World Trade Center almost done!

Featured Replies

Hey everyone!

The new world trade center they are building is almost done, the building part will be done Monday according to CNN. Making this building "1776 feet tall..." Notice the height and think what date that is...

Let's just make the building taller so terrorists can fly more planes into it, the American Government really doesn't give a lot of thought to well, anything....

It's isn't that much taller just like two stories or so :/

I hope they realize that terrorists may destroy this tower too, if they have enough will. It's a sad thought but it is possible.

wow people u think terrorists will easily bring this building down, bunch of idiots u think the FBI doesn't increase security since the 9/11 attacks -_-

Well they did take them down 12 years ago, its really scary to think about but it is possible.  I just wish they would all smarten up and stop attacking!

Realistically, if there was another attack on these buildings, they most likely would not collapse. The steel beams are reinforced with a huge amount of concrete, along with other safety measures, it would take a lot to knock the buildings down. I have watched the tower climb higher into the sky everyday, and the guys building the tower did a great job, it looks amazing.

Just because they have increased security doesn't mean their invincible.

Unless they used a Boeing 747, Cut the building in two

I do to. they just made NYC seem like NYC. I remember when it happened, i was only 3 and i could see the smoke from my house. They have come a long way though

I rember seeing it on TV when I got back from school, with almost 6 year old. It had to be tough seeing it live there.

Personally I like the old towers more, not just because they were, that, a symbol of NYC, but because the new tower is too big, in my opinion, I mean, it's a freaking monster. Anyway, I hope it helps the people there in NYC to heal the wounds

I personally like the new tower better. Though the old ones were, well twins, they didn't have as much appeal as the new one does, at least to me. Before the WTCs just looked like any other tower, gray and square, except the fact that they were the tallest buildings in NYC. This new one though, I think is much better looking. I was just in New York a few weeks ago, as soon as I saw that tower, every person on the bus I was on went silent. The thing is just awe-inspiring in my opinion.  I vaguely remember 9/11 I was around 5 when it happened. But even watching videos and documentaries about about it now still give me chills and kind of scare me. One thing about the Freedom Tower is that it is next to the pools where the twin towers stood, that place is just amazing. Truly amazing.

That's a bit of an understatement. Try "years".

I drove to New York last summer and to see those new towers being raised in between all those other buildings that were around from 911 it is amazing. Its shows that the US comes back from these tough times and they knew that those last towers were built wrong because that should have never happened. It was definitely a lesson learned.

Here is a picture that I took of the tower
