Great Job, NYPD!

Recommended Posts

It is a shame that the media flat-out refuses to cover the good side of the NYPD, but there is indeed evidence out there.  Take the below video, for example.  On a Brooklyn 3-train, there was an altercation between two people onboard.  The conductor notified police and they were waiting for the suspect at the station stop.  Unfortunately, the crowds around simply defended the perp without giving any thought to what actually occurred.  Video below; the officers were very professional and showed immense restraint throughout the entire circumstance.

That shit is crazy... That is why I stay away from cities at all costs.

Glad you were eventually able to view the video [i assume].  Can't say I necessarily blame you, though when viewed in a positive light urban areas can be rather nice.

At around 2:46, the officer on top of the suspect put himself in a LOT of trouble. Anybody that was behind him could EASILY have grabbed his gun. He should have protected that a bit more...

You are correct, though there was only so much that two officers could do when they have people closing in from both sides.

I wish the people who hate the Police in Albuquerque would see this video and love our police!

I can't watch the video at the moment, but did they call for backup? Because I've heard that the NYPD can get a whole lot of backup to an officer in a matter of seconds, often.

They did call for backup, though due to the intricacies of the NYC subway system it took roughly two minutes or so for proper backup to arrive.  I can only imagine how nerve-wracking it must've been for the first two officers on scene.  View the video when possible; it is quite stunning to say the least.

Wow!  Good thing backup showed, just in time too, before things got really out of hand.  Those cops did a fantastic job and showed a lot of restraint in my humble opinion.  I'd of bashed that woman right in the face; want to act like a man you get treated like one.  Loud mouth idiot.

God that crowd was annoying, what is yelling at the top of your lungs going to solve? arguing with police isnt going to stop them from arresting a person who broke the law thats just common sense yet they continued to be ignorant... i wish people just let police officers do their job..

not for nothing but i lived in Long Island Queens border for 7 years, and they cause use a lot of force for no reason, but not for nothing those cops held back cause if i was that Sgt and that chick came at me like that she would have been on the floor quick! But its always good to see when back up officers get there, there are there by the numbers! Well done for this one! Cant say that for them all!!
