Have you modded your corona textures, or use a graphics tweak that modifies coronas? EVCS may not be at fault.

I like this system alot better but just wish the lights looked better....

I started work on ELS.Net on January 19th, coming up with some basic concepts for how it might work.  Back then, it was still known as Illumination, and was me picking up where I left off here:

And Sam was correct in saying that EVCS in an alternative. I certainly know that EVCS was never meant to "replace" ELS and I can only assume that ELS.net was never meant to replace it either. 

 

Heaps of time was put into EVCS, and still is! And I'm sure heaps of time will/has been put into ELS.net. People need to understand that is a 0.1 Public BETA. Obviously it's going to have bugs. If you thought that this would be better than ELS and would work like magic right away then you probably need to have a reality check away from your computers.

If you're gonna come to this thread just to say "ELS is better and this is stupid" just leave. This mod is for people who prefer non-els and this is non-els with more features including more lights. I'm glad Grady released this mod on you all should be grateful too instead of just being so negative. And like stated before, it's 0.1 beta bugs are expected, it's not gonna be perfect in one shot.

Well, no, ELS.Net isn't intended to replace ELS -- it is ELS!

 

And yeah, don't come in here just to criticise EVCS with silly comments.  You might not like it but you've got to respect the effort and work that's gone into it.  By all means you can leave helpful feedback, but don't just come in here to flame.

I'd like to see you folks try and create a piece of programming that works better. This is very difficult to create and I commend everyone that makes mods for this game.

Grady is a relativly new scripter, and is learning everything as he goes, plus his time is also split with life, Sam on the other hand has a lot more experience with scripting, son obviously it's going to be a little more polished when it comes to a mod by Sam.

 

EVCS is nothing like ELS, ELS uses the extra system, while EVCS uses coronas, so obviously they are going to look lots different, also ENB's which modify your corona will affect how your EVCS looks.

 

Grady has looked in to using his own coronas, but has decided to just stick with the default GTA IV coronas. I'm also talk with him about multiple parts of his script as to how he could improve them. This is a script made for the people and feed back is welcomed, but Grady is not an active memeber of LCPD:FR, hence why these topics have been started by other members, so don't expect support in this forum.

You at least have to give Grady some credit for the effort he put into his mod. Yes their may be bugs and stuff wrong with it but it is still in beta. I am not defending Grady but if you don't like it don't use it. 

All in all, it's a very early version of the mod and its featured at this stage are understandably limited. Hopefully though, based on my own conversations with Grady about what he wants to do with the mod and what we'll then be able to do with emergency vehicles it could bring something really new and exciting. With the features the mod is intending to deliver it will be way more than just a simple lighting system. It should allow you a great level of control over your vehicle and how you use it to police Liberty City. 

I'm hoping that the INI settings for this and ELS.net are compatible, so that the player can choose which one he wants (instead of having the modder choose which to support). How does the EVCS INI work?

Right, but what are those coordinates relative to?

Coronas are drawn relative to the 3D cordinates of each vehicle. At this stage they aren't tied to anything but that is intended in the future (so that for example, only when a certain component is on will the lights associated with it also flash).
