I've seen Patrol gloves on Officers, but I don't know if you can do that with anyone other then you.

Also, I make the official request now:

PICS!!!!

Speaking on the Glove issuie, I know there is a pair of fingerless gloves for Niko. Is there a physical model of gloves that can be applied to cops, or are we only able to texture on fake ones? (which only distracts from the arm problem)

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok so I've tried adding multiple shirt textures using the method described in the OP and I'm running into one problem...

I'm using OpenIV 0.9.3, and I'm not finding an Import button anywhere. No button, not in a drop down menu or anything, all I see is export everywhere I look.

I've searched youtube, I've read the help section of OpenIV and still no luck.

Where the heck is the import button so I can import the new textures I created...

It sounded stupid because I am stupid.

That was the trick right there.... I wish they would include that step in the tutorials.

Thanks for all your help, sometimes I wonder how I deal with noobs like me.... :-p

I answered my own question through playing around a bit.

Thanks again for all the help, this is awesome!

I have a question, for those a little more experienced in peds. It seems that, from what I've been doing, you can only add short sleeves for the Black and Latino cops. I've added textures for the Chinese and White cops, but they just don't show up (They only use the _uni sleeves, even when forced with SNT)

So, is there something I need to change, like a ped variable, to make more sleeves spawn-able?

I think I already did this a long time ago.  Is there something different you are doing?  Have a look at my mod made over a year ago.  Its the LAPD uniform with short sleeves mod.

Seeing as this was brought back from the dead, have anybody figured out why the white cops with short sleeves have different skin colors on hands and arms, even when the color was picked from the hand in Photoshop? Or maybe I'm the only one having that issue? It looks fine in OpenIV model viewier, but in game the collar differs..

I always have that issue too. It might have to do with the spec texture - the issue for me always seems to be a brightness mismatch. Specifically, the brightness that makes it match in the light doesn't match in shadows.
