Why when I try to go on gta4-mods.com it says its blocked?

Well, Google doesn't block sites for no reason. This also is the list used for Mozilla Firefox.

As you can see, something on their side is clearly wrong. Enter the site at your own risk.

On what he touched^^^, it may be blocking it for a reason...

As Jay said, websites don't just get blocked for no reason. There must be something going on. I honestly would stay back for awhile until the site is deemed safe again.

It may be that the site was compromised, but more likely it has some compromised ad networks being displayed. More often than not, that seems to be why seemingly fine websites pop up as dangerous.

I'm just steering clear until Google gives the all clear.

It's happening to me, except I'm getting redirected all over creation! Could be the site has been compromised  stay away

Happened to me then resumed back to normal 2 days later. I wouldn't worry about it

They say hackers are doing something. And the admins are havin' a hard time struggling to get the controls of their website back.

It would seem with only a short while of the site being unlisted as malicious, the site has returned to the list of malicious sites provided by Google Safe Browsing,  both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers are blocking the site actively (Firefox will only block the site if you're using the Google Tool bar, which includes their SafeBrowsing). I suggest all members to steer clear of all entrance of the site in general, let alone any downloads until their issues have been fixed.

From the report of Google safe browsing I would assume the site has either been attacked (this wouldn't be the first time: http://www.gtagaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117780)

and exploit kits have been set to download malicious software to unsuspecting users computers, or that some unloaders have decided to upload malware and admins haven't taken care of it yet. Again, I highly recommend that all users steer clear until everything is sorted out. -JAM.

 

Well, I must be fortunate. I did not steer away, and went on to download Countyside Mountains for the clan I'm in... but I do agree that staying away is a good idea.

It was down then two days later it went  back to normal now it is doing it again for me.

Guys, don't panic, its an issue with GTA 4 mods, like when LCPDFR goes down sometimes  some mods uploaded can have virus's, and if you use chrome or firefox and have virus softwhere  it detects and blocks, it will get fixed in a few hours

It's nothing like that at all. Google has placed the site on a blacklist because it has detected viruses which automatically install themselves onto your computer just by browsing the site.

We've never been breached or hacked before; and have never had viruses on our site.
