How did you find out about LCPDFR?

OH MY GOD. I REMEMBER THAT GAME lol. I used to play it all the time. I remember coming home from like 5th and 6th grade and my mom let me watch "Transformers" and "Worlds Wildest Police Videos" after school if I promised to have my homework done by dinner. That's so great. They were making another one for the PS2, but they canceled it. I probably beat that game like a billion times.

I remember playing SWAT: Global Strike Team for the PS2 long ago. Terrible game, but it was fun as a kid.

I playied that too. Never really came far in the missions, but i played that free roam mode like a maniac :D

And i didin't knew a single english word back then and the game wasn't translated :) still had a lot of fun with it!

+1 for xaPKPax! The LCPDFR legend!

  • It's always been LCPDFR.  I don't really know where the colon came from actually, lots of people just started putting it like that.  I guess adding the colon makes more sense, but I prefer it without.

  • I was trying to find a game I played as a child, googled "playstation 1 police game", couldn't find anything back then. I went to youtube after that and searched the exact same thing and some how foun

I found it over at GPM back in the day when i first started downloading emergency vehicle mods for my game. It's awesome where this mod (and community) has come to today.

I found it when i typed "police mod" in google when trying to find a police mod for Midtown Madness 2.

A cop is no good if he refuses to lay down his life for the safety of others

Was talking with my friend about how nice it would be to have another game like World's Scariest Police Chases, but with proper traffic stops and such, where you played a Uniform LEO instead of the regular old 5-0 like almost every cop game out there. He was aware of the mod and showed me it. Within half a year, GTA IV was super cheap on Steam, and I instantly got LCPD:FR, plus all the vehicles I wanted (including my 1968 Polskie Fiat 125p that I use for most of my patrols.) I started out I think in the last weeks of 0.91, before 0.95 replaced it (and I can tell you, it was an interesting trip to RC2, quite a lot of people (myself included) had to go back to 0.91.)
