Caines Charger has a polygon count of around 50,000, that's 100,000 less than the common CVPI models has, which can also be seen in the difference in file sizes, the Whelen Liberty Carger I used had a combined file size of 2 MB (1 MB for .WTD and 1MB for .WFT), whereas CVPI's are usually around 4 MB (1MB for the WTD and 3MB for the WFT).

When I used that model as both police and police2, I experienced my fewer crashes, and a higher average frame-rate.

  • I'm currently working on a new version of my old LCPD pack ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>), using new equipment and a new livery. The CVPI is in progress right now: More pic

  • Made a short video of the lightstages of the cars from the pack, front view only though:   I removed the dashlight because it was still partly visible if you replaced it with a transparent textur

  • Just tested it, it works absolutely fine:   As visible in the picture as well, any of the front LEDs of the Liberty can be turned into a steady burn activating together with the secondaries, tho

Yeah, but I was necessarily looking for an undercover Charger.

If you're having problems with the CVPI model I wouldn't advice to use the unmarked Charger when it's going to be released as the Slimmiser interior lights are damn high poly. It is definitly still less than the CVPI.

When will the last caprice be released?????

The LAPD or the SFPD one? Let's see, LAPD still needs Spotlights and I didn't start the SFPD version yet.

Oh my PC can handle it,alright. But still I don't want to risk it.

I can't really understand what risk you mean.

Anyways, the Charger has been released. Non-ELS version coming soon.

I mean the crashing risk, which occurs during intense pursuits when so many HQ models gather together and strain the game engine enough to break it down.

If you're worried about crashing, wait for his non-els version. Non-els cars have never given me trouble.

Why are lights always so high poly?

Always isn't correct, I just failed the LEDs completely what makes them so high poly, I made a new version but I lost the z3d file of the unmarked charger and I don't want to do all again.

The Helicopter Break posted some pictures of is one of the things I'm working on at the moment. There's only one small bug with the template that needs to be fixed and after that it should be getting released.

I'm also working on a new unmarked CVPI which looks so far like this:

I need some suggestion for what to change/add. So far I thought about adding wig-wags, some flashing taillights and maybe a spotlight.

And I'm working on a Caprice with Whelen EDGE lightbar but not SFPD which was planned before, it's going to be based of the 92 Chicago Caprices. Progress so far:

I'm doing the textures. All that has to be fixed is enlarge the size of the text: ''CHICAGO POLICE''.

Also gonna make an LC version of the CPD Caprice, for those who love Chicago Police, but want to remain fictional LC.

Your WIP unmarked P71 look prestige. It seems that you are open to suggestions for it - may I recommend adding corner and brake strobes, as they are a very common brand to be installed on public service fleets.

Mirror beams with split dual colors ( red/blue) would give it a nice touch. Or you can mount a singular mini LED moduel on the corner sides of the front bumper - mount them below the amber parking lights. You can angle it to face intersections for a powerful visual presence :)

Edit: here is a reference photo depicting the bumper LEDs I aforementioned suggested - http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/iduke/5516112571/in/search_QM_q_IS_whistler+rcmp_AND_mt_IS_all_AND_w_IS_all

Yup, it's exactly that one.

Very nice Caprice!

Thank you, very appreciate hearing that from you ^^

Already working on those strobes, should be done soon. I'm not sure about mirror/bumper lights, I know they're used quite often in the USA but I think I'm characterized by the german unmarked cars which you can't recognize as long as their lights are off :P

I'll try if I can make some stealth looking mirror lights.
