Abraxas I've been  having a weird issue recently with Bait cars. I run regular gta iv and I was just in an mp game (I was the only player though). I had a bait car positioned around the strip club in Acter/South Alderney and it was a truck. It was picked up by a single driver and i followed him from about 50-60m behind. He was on his way to a hideout but he kept crashing into things along the way. It was like he'd just get the urge to pull to the right every so often and crash into the fence or a wall or whatever. Eventually he drove off the road and towards the warehouses near the bridge, but managed to kept crashing into a fence post until the truck blew up. It was quite strange. Any thoughts?

It is a rare bug that I can't really fix.

 

1. He crashes because he have no idea how to drive to target so he tries to go straight to it ignoring everything.

2. He gets lost because game couldn't load all path nodes so it can't figure out how to direct him

 

There is a way to check if nodes were loaded, but... I can't use it. I have no idea why but for some users game will crash no matter what when I use that function in a loop. Problem is I'm using it exactly like it was used by RockStar and it still can crash. No matter if I use it as a native function or the one from SHDN. That's why after ordering game to load all nodes I give it 100ms, then check it, if it's not loaded I wait another 100ms. Unfortunately I can't put that into loop because it would crash for some users.

 

Also sometimes if you park a car too far from nearest road node game will tell that ped to drive straight to it... sometimes through fence or building.

It could be to do with paths not having loaded properly as at some points he'd go to turn into somewhere but when I got closer the fence would spawn which would be blocking his path. Hmm, not a big deal and I seem to only have gotten it in that part of Alderney..

 

Also I just realised I posted this in the coroner thread rather than the PH thread :S, so on the actual topic - the coroner mod is still going great. Yay.

Hello Abraxas first of all i would like to say that i just love your work i download both your policeHelper and your TowingServices mods and has no trouble with downloading them or instilling them but this mod here i download it ok but when i try to open it i get this error here C:UsersMR. TOM LEE FOXDownloadsvdH_MedicalExaminer_1.0.0.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged i just do not get it i have download other things from this web site and never have i got this before i have evening remove the mod download and try again still the same thing please help thanks

The Speedo, without lightbar, is crashing my game. I am getting the SMPA60 error whenever it's installed.

What can I do? I really want to try this :(

 

I didn't want to install the lightbar version as I didnt want to see Pizza vans with lightbars lol.

It must be your fault since nobody experienced this before. Try reinstalling it better.

How do I do this exactly?

What I did is clearly not to your top standard, so by all means do tell me where I went wrong.

Downloaded coroner mod

Extracted said mod

Placed the scripts in the correct location

Opened SparkIV and went to the cdimages file located within my EFLC game

Imported the Speedo.wtd and .wft files - I chose liberty city and non light bar options for both

Went to the maps/props section as instructed and imported the bodybag, again I chose he liberty city one

Saved it all and closed SparkIV

Started the game

Killed someone

Pressed X chose services then coroner - game crashed with the SMPA60 error.

Replaced vehicles.img with a backup I had previously made

Started the game

Killed someone

Pressed x and followed steps as I did before and coroner arrived took photos of the scene etc and drove off

So that, to me, seems like the speedo model I have in the coroner file is broke somehow.

Oh and there is other people with this error using this mod or the policehelper mod of which I'm using in conjunction with this,hence the pressing x etc part...but I guess you knew that already.

You could just try & use the lightbar one then & replace the ligthbar textures with blank ones/remove them with OpenIV so it will disappear I think.

SMPA60 usually means you've modded over a car saved at a safehouse.  You'll have to uninstall the mod, find where the saved car is, and swap it with another car/get rid of it, then reinstall the mod.  Alternatively, restart your saved game after installing.

Most likely because the script can't load either the vehicle model or the character model associated with it. Could you post what's in your vdh_errors.log and ScriptHookDotNet.log files?

hello, am trying this mod, but which key do i have to start to start this mod or call the pick up dead body ? i have lcpdfr 0.95 installed and GTAIV .Net Script Hook v1.7.1.7 BETA too.

 

look like X touch dosen't work. normaly i think had place file into the good directory ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi into GTAIV and for Developers, _PUT .NET SCRIPTS HERE into the script file.

Download vDH Police Helper ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) and extract all files into your scripts folder.

 

If you have vdH Coroner and vdH Towing Service modifications installed, then you can use them with the vdH Police Helper. vdH Towing Service modification is already connected with the Police Helper, but you have to manually connect the vdH Coroner modification by going to scripts folder, vdH_MedicalExaminer.ini, look for UseKey = yes and switch it to UseKey = no

 

Now you can call coroner and towing service by pressing the X key on your keyboard and selecting one of the call options..
