After another F&%#@!G POINTLES GTA V update, I'm again sitting here with a BROKEN GAME!!!!!!!!!!! I Know the latest update vanilla GTA V, Rage and the LSPDFR 4.7 works! BUT WE DONT RUN VANILLA GTA V!!! It beats the whole purpose of modding and this entire website! The modding is what makes it so great, not vanilla! So here we are again waiting for another Scripthook V update! Guys, coders, programmers please move over to Rage Hook if that's what it takes. At this moment in time I don't even know what mods are ragehook or scripthookV. And I have also suggested in the past that LCPDFR Development have the Script Hook V coding in house. So when we get another pointless GTA V update, we could be patrolling in no time! Cause like this pandemic, it seems like GTA V updates are never GOING AWAY!!!!

That's the point of RagePluginHook. LMS develops both RPH and LSPDFR. We can't just steal development of ScriptHook from Alexander Blade.

All ScriptHookV mods should be .asi files. Note this does not mean all .asi files rely on ScriptHook (Heap Limit Adjuster and OpenIV.asi are two examples that do not rely on ScriptHook - they just need the asi loader, dinput8.dll). The most common ScriptHook dependent mods are ELS and most trainers.

 

LSPDFR does not and LSPDFR plugins should not rely on ScriptHook (if an LSPDFR plugin does, I wouldn't recommend using it).

I succesfully managed to get everything downgraded, now I found out I don't have a RPH 1.78 installation and I can't find it anywhere. But I totally agree, these updates suck. Rockstar doesn't seem to like people who mod their game though.

 

To answer Will, ELS needs ScripthookV right? Many people including me will have installed modded cars that use ELS, it simply sucks to work around these issues because it requires time. Let's hope for a quick ScripthookV update, till then I guess we will need to be patient!

To start off, LSPDFR nor RagePluginHook require ScriptHookV. ELS, trainers, and any scripts will require ScriptHookV. Which can be circumvented by using ASISupport, but it isnt recommended. For LSPDFR to include SHV would be pointless, since the base version and most plugins dont use it.

To add on to the above, stuff like callouts and plugins dont require ScriptHookV. Just the stuff I mentioned above.

I guess somebody was reading. All my police force, and boats are ELS enabled, I think even garbage truck and tow trucks 🤣 so sadly ScripthookV is a must for me then.

I also checked about 5 minutes before @ppat324wi mentioned it.  Glad to see we can play LSPDFR again!

 

Nope not working for me after this update! Already copied the new update.rpf to the mods folder (OpenIV) even verified files. GTA V just quits loading, with or without Rage LSPDFR. Even getting a new message now, new me that is.

 

 

Back to spending the WHOLE Sunday troubleshooting why GTA V won't work after this STUPID UPDATE!

Well this is the exact same error I had, tried to figure it out for hours, I ended up reinstalling launcher, social club and GTA V basically the hole nine. Yet that didn't fix the issue. It drove me complete nuts trying to figure this out, after several hours of troubleshooting I found that disabling the firewall altogether fixed it, that being said I think this update may have contained some new layers for GTA V Online, which may have caused old exceptions in FW not to work anymore. I didn't have any exception in Firewall before the update and the game was working fine without it, but after update I had to make an exception for both launcher and gta v processes. 

 

Could you try and disable the firewall altogether and go again? - If that works, then you know an exception in Firewall is required.

I disabled my firewall, even though I already had all the programs "allowed", and it's still not working. I have loaded numerous previous versions as they have been updated with no issues. Something else is going on here.

Have you checked your launcher.log ? That's where I found my issue, it was indeed not GTA5.exe causing any issues, but the launcher itself. 

 

Check it from Documents\Rockstar Games\Launcher\Launcher.log - The symptoms you are having are exactly like mine, although you have already disabled the firewall, so I'm not sure. Try remove SHV and do not run RagePluginHook, but just launch GTAV Vanilla from the launcher, and see what happens, if it goes "Loading" and then after a few seconds "Quitting" I'm confident that the actual error will be inside the Launcher.log.

In My Rockstar launcher log, I don't see anything unusual. GTAV launches fine on its own. Mine doesn't quit, it just keeps spinning in the lower right corner.

I have an issue with my models. I put them in Patchday23ng and did everything I normally do (like the meta file). Some models are loading while others are just loading in their default form. It's odd because all of these files are in the exact same location, so that makes me wonder why certain ones work while others don't

Thanks @ka0sdev for pointing us in the right direction. Guys check your launcher.log as I'm reading online this is not the firs time this has happened after an GTA V update! But previously there was a hotfix issued.
