Cop Holster is an RPH plugin that adds some unique functionality to the police handgun holster. It removes the handgun from the holster if a pistol is a drawn. It also comes with intimidation mode -- a simple feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Cop Holster works with both the player and AI officers.

Requirements
RAGEPluginHook 0.23 or higher.

 

Installation
Place CopHolster.dll and CopHolster.xml in your Plugins folder.
When ingame, open the RPH console (default F4) and type LoadPlugin CopHolster.dll.

 

Features

  • Dynamic holsters for both the player an AI officers.
  • Animations that automatically play when holstering and unholstering.
  • Intimidation mode, a feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Toggle with Right Shift Key (keyboard) or Left DPad (controller).
  • Highly configurable! Turn off animations, change keys, add new ped models for Cop Holster support, you name it.

 

Questions
Does this come with RDE support?
The RDE Cop Holster config file is in the RDE 3.1 download.

 

Does this come with EUP support?
Yes. Cop Holster comes with support for EUP 7.5.

 

How does Cop Holster work?
All ped models in GTA have what are called drawables. They are pieces of clothing or equipment that can vary between instances of that model. Many of the default cop models have two holster drawables. One is empty, and one has a pistol. Cop Holster simply changes between those two drawables depending on if you have your pistol drawn or not to give the illusion that you are taking the pistol out of the holster.   


I'm a ped model developer and would like to make my model work with Cop Holster. How would I go about doing that?

@PieRGud Hi,I had installed Cop Holster. When I took out my pistol,it is work. But when I put my pistol back, my holster is empty.  Can anyone help me? I had used the note on Emergency uniforms pack - Law & Order 8.0 to adapt xml,but it still doesn't work.

It's a known issue. I'm working on an update to address it.

I use 9 in EUP menu  for the holster and whenever I pull out my gun (Normal "Pistol") it does not let me go to my holster and switches it to 3 please help.

Hey I was wondering if you planned on making this compatible with tasers with EUP 8.0? Would be awesome as I noticed that EUP 8.0 has the models with and without the tasers in the holsters. Cheers

Do you think you could update this for EUP 8.1? With the addition of tasers the belts have a taser option and one with a holster with no taser in it. As seen in the pictures the belts are the same but one has no taser in the holser. I've already tried to do this myself but I cant get the hang of it.

I have a problem with Cop Holster. If I load the mod via Rage Plugin Hook and then draw a weapon, the animation is no different, just like before. The weapons draw animation remains the same, put back and the function with the hand on the weapon also does not work.

 

Would be very happy about help, because it is actually a very cool mod 🙂

Which character should I choose, if I want the Holster? 
Do I have to wear a certain piece of clothing?

 

There is no holster with the standard officer outfit! (No Hoslter / No animation)

im trying to use this with latest EUP, but i think cop holster and EUP are conflicting with the outfits, causing my game to CTD. what am i missing to fix this. i also have the EUP configs for LSPDFR 0.4 so it shows the outfits when you go on duty in the locker room. but i think im missing and copholster config or line, the preset outfits are .ini ,just wouldn't let me upload with .ini CopHolster.xml presetoutfits.txt

Is anyone still having problems with cop holster working when it wants? It loads fine, but once I remove the gun it won't go back into the holster. I've figured out that if I get into my vehicle with the gun in hand and put it away via the "X" button for controller weapon selection it will reappear in the holster. Beyond that little trick, once it's out the holster that's all she wrote. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

P.S. I only use <Model>MP_M_FREEMODE_01</Model>. This is the LSPDFR 0.4.1 created character.

Yeah I noticed that little trick which will fix this issue for me as well for now. I wondered why I couldn't use intimidation after trying to put my gun back. Follow the trick above fixes that

If you go into the .xml file for CopHolster and scroll down to <Model>MP_M_FREEMODE_01</Model> you can change the <unholstered> numbers to match the <holstered> number for each pistol section. It eliminates the removal of the gun but you get to continue to use the animation. Until it is updated this is the least stressful way to enjoy this mod. Good luck!

so ive had mod for years never had a problem till now, im just confused hoping you could help. so when i unholster everything is fine but when i go to put it away the gun never shows back up in the holster. sometimes it does but for the most part it never pops back up in the holster.

Hey man, This problem has started for many people lately. Not sure if its LSPDFR 0.4.1 or EUP 8.1 or simply CopHolster. The Author is supposedly attemping to upgrade at some point. Here is my solution for now...If you go into the .xml file for Cop Holster and scroll down to <Model>MP_M_FREEMODE_01</Model> or your <SMY> ped model you can change the <unholstered> numbers to match the <holstered> number for each pistol section. It eliminates the removal of the gun but you get to continue to use the animation. Until it is updated this is the least stressful way to enjoy this mod. Good luck!

I use it with EUP and after I draw the gun and out it back it's not in the holster. Is there any way to fix this
