New Feature Showcase:

pdComp — Police Computer for LSPDFR

A full police computer for LSPDFR with live records from Policing Redefined or Stop The Ped.

pdComp adds a police laptop and field tablet to GTA V. Check people and vehicles, file reports, issue citations, review court cases, track BOLOs, and use built-in traffic tools from one system.

New in v0.4.2

  • Added configurable LSPDFR callouts for active vehicle BOLOs and outstanding court warrants.

  • BOLO encounters can feature an abandoned vehicle, a compliant driver, or a vehicle pursuit.

  • Warrant subjects may surrender, flee, or resist, with charge severity and prior history influencing their behavior.

  • Added voiced watch-supervisor radio audio for BOLO and warrant assignments, updates, prior-contact warnings, and resolutions.

  • Citations can now include officer-selected enhancements such as school-zone and work-zone conditions that adjust fines, points, and court-appearance requirements.

  • Ped Lookup can now submit arrest-warrant requests using the charge catalog. Approved requests enter the same warrant-service system as failure-to-appear and failure-to-pay warrants.

  • Outstanding court warrants and their recorded reasons now appear directly on matching Ped Lookup profiles.

  • Expanded the public add-on API with detached ped and vehicle record lookups, collected-record searches, prior-history snapshots, and deeper paperwork, court, and call-context data.

Core Features

  • Police laptop with movable windows, snapping, app icons, and wallpaper

  • Field tablet for use while on foot

  • Ped and vehicle checks with live records, mugshots, and physical ID cards

  • Citations, arrest reports, print previews, and saved history

  • Evidence-linked charges and court results

  • Court hearings, sentencing, appeals, warrants, and federal cases

  • Report Center for incident, use-of-force, vehicle damage, crash, death, and custom reports

  • Dispatch window with live call details and active BOLOs

  • Saved vehicle BOLOs with ALPR-style alerts

  • Standalone ALPR plate reader and speed radar

  • Optional NPCAI and Grammar Police support

  • Mouse, keyboard, and controller support

  • Light and dark themes with support for 1080p, 1440p, 4K, and wide screens

  • Editable charge, citation, and report files

Records Support

pdComp requires either Policing Redefined or Stop The Ped.

Policing Redefined supports shared records, arrest sync, tested evidence, traffic-stop data, transport requests, and radio BOLO alerts. Stop The Ped supplies document status, search results, and found breath, drug, and weapon test results.

Downloads

Most players only need pdComp v0.4.2. The Developer SDK is a separate download intended for mod makers building pdComp add-ons.

Newtonsoft.Json is built into pdComp. No separate Newtonsoft download or fallback installation is required.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • NPCAI now keeps persistent record information separate from temporary callout context when supported.

  • Warrant service preserves the subject’s identity and appearance and carries the exact court-recorded reason into the encounter.

  • Expanded localization coverage and added customizable currency formatting throughout the UI and printed documents.

  • Arrest narratives now support the full length allowed by the onscreen keyboard.

  • Generated game-calendar dates remain in the current year, and generated license-expiry dates are more varied and stable per subject.

  • Arrest evidence now identifies where each item was found.

  • Expanded font scaling on arrest and citation screens.

FIXES

  • Fixed court and warrant-decision notifications being lost when they arrived while the laptop or tablet was open.

  • Fixed citation totals displaying a doubled currency symbol.

  • Fixed History details drawing outside their scrollable panel.

plugin is WIP and features will change/evolve/disappear throughout development as I strive more maximum stability and functionality

Is there a way to have the PDComp keep the game un-paused (which I have that setting on) while on the computer in the cop car but not get out of the car when I type "F" for example when I'm searching a name or searching a charge; because I'll be in the cruiser type "F" and then my guy gets out and the screen is still active. Anyone know or Author? Thanks in advance.

I absolutely love pdComp—it’s honestly a game-changer for my setup.

I did run into a weird backend issue while using it with PatrolMDT (which uses the Common Data Framework / CDF to sync data), and I wanted to see if you could take a look at it. PatrolMDT: https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/scripts/54013-patrolmdt/

Basically, when I set pdComp to use Policing Redefined (PR), everything works flawlessly. Warrants, expired registrations, and vehicle data match up perfectly across both pdComp and PatrolMDT because they are both talking to CDF.

But when I switch pdComp over to Stop The Ped (STP), the data sync completely breaks. If PatrolMDT generates a warrant or registration issue, pdComp doesn't see it, so the info doesn't match up anymore. It feels like choosing STP in the settings completely shuts off pdComp’s ability to listen to CDF. The thing is, CDF can listen to STP natively outside of pdComp, so I'm hoping it's an easy fix on the backend to just let pdComp keep listening to CDF even when the STP mode is toggled on.

Getting that data linked up would also fix a couple of minor things in STP mode that would be amazing to see:

  1. Clickable Registered Owners: Being able to actually click the owner's name inside the Vehicle Lookup screen to jump straight to their file.

  2. Text Bleeding: Fixing a tiny visual bug where a little bit of text from the screen bleeds right through the mouse cursor.

Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into this mod. Really appreciate you taking the time to read this!

I fear you are mistaken on the CDF-STP relationship. The two are completely separate frameworks and STP owns its own data.

Switching pdComp to STP mode absolutely makes it ignore CDF if present and read the data from STP (which is exactly the intended behavior).

"Switching pdComp to STP mode absolutely makes it ignore CDF if present and read the data from STP"

Can you have it stop ignoring CDF in STP mode? =)

Then it will work accurately with my PatrolMDT mod. It would be STP -> CDF -> pdComp , instead of STP -> pdComp. and my Patrol MDT could grab it from CDF like pdComp would.

STP has it's own data like you said... CDF can read the STP data and "put it into" other plugins =) CDF is a listener and it can listen to STP. If you enable CDF to listen to STP, it won't do anything but add functionality. Like you said, CDF isn't creating data, it's listening and allowing other plugins to use it; this is why my PatrolMDT could work the way it does with PR, if STP was not intentionally ignored by CDF (which is how you wanted it, I get it, I'm being selfish lol). I hope that makes sense =)

I am not the developer of CDF, and while in theory stp COULD change the data in cdf, it does not.

There is no reason for a user to have cdf installed with stp. If you built your plugin around cdf but intended it to be used with stp that is an interesting decision and there will be discrepancies in the data provided by the two plugins. Ped names and license plates will match because those come from LSPDFR itself but cdf does indeed generate data to fill in the rest of the information as does stp.

At this point I do not intend to have PDcomp pull information from cdf while a user is using it in conjunction with stop the ped.

I downloaded this today. Having an issue where when I ask for there ID and the on the sidewalk it doesn’t give me one and I can’t look them up by name either. No data found on manual search, is there a way to make a ped not in a vehicle give you ID so you can look them up?

Idk what your using but I use policing redefined and its usually tapping the T key and it will bring up a menu to interact with the PED

So when you do a traffic stop and you ask him for their ID with the NPCAI it gives it to you but on the street you have to use the stop the ped menu to make it give you a physical ID. I just figured it out I thought since it worked with NPCAI in the car, it would on the street. Maybe it can in the future.

@CossackGames Is it possible to make so we may come across more female or male police officers that may be in plain clothes or off-duty when we are doing traffic stops or asking peds for ID on foot?

This is a bug between STP and NPCAI, not pdComp. Currently on foot, NPCAI hands over its own version of an id instead of using STP’s id database. NPCAI with PR works as intended.

I’ve spoken to the NPCAI dev about this issue and he said he is aware and will adjust this system for his next update.

I can take a look at the frequency of these interactions

Shoot mine does on foot too with NPCAI.. but sometimes I hear you it doesn't every now and again; and it's usually I feel like when another mod or plugin (a callout or ambience event) is causing a problem so I try to manually end the event or manually end talking to a PED with the keybind in the NPCAI ini file. So I have to use the menu to do any further action; however it seems to resume functioning normally when I drive away from the event and whatever I was doing and things kind of reset in game.

pdComp controller modifier not working

ControllerOpenModifier = RightShoulder is set in config.ini, but pdComp still opens on DPadLeft alone without holding RightShoulder. Same for TabletControllerOpenModifier.

This makes pdComp unusable with other plugins that use DPadLeft for menu navigation — the computer pops up every time you navigate left in any menu.

This plugin is easily one of the best for LSPDFR. It runs smooth, adds real immersion, and feels like a must-have for any serious patrol setup. Top-tier work that stands out from the rest!

@ CossackGames would it be possible to add a License class or Endorsement to the Driver License pop up but still be random like auto generated, such as CDL or or motorcycle endorsement?

Hi, I just did the update. PR is not giving me an option to give ticket to a ped after issuing one on PD Comp. I made sure it was the same ped too. Any idea how to fix this?

From the changelog above:

  • Added a choice of citation handoff methods. Use Policing Redefined’s Give Citations menu, Stop The Ped’s Issue Ticket from CompuLite menu, or pdComp’s Shift+H handoff. Set the handoff key to None for automatic delivery when you approach the person.

You can set it back to have PR handle it in the config or settings but give the keybind a try!

Theoretically yes, however I would want to build out a system for that to be relevant to the type of vehicle the person is driving.

If it applies to the vehicle then it would be proper every time, If I'm understanding for example a person on a motorcycle it would then generate the endorsement but if it was random then you would have a probability to stop a motorcycle and the operator does not have the endorsement or if you stopped a large commercial truck and the driver didn't have a CDL if I'm making sense

I get what you’re saying, I just think a blanket random chance would be too broad. There needs to be something that rolls the chance when the vehicle is a commercial or motorcycle.
