Definitive Callouts

Welcome to Definitive Callouts! This pack includes some of the most memorable Callouts LSPDFR will ever see!

Current and upcoming callouts will include both authentic and cinematic events. From minor traffic incidents up to exploding skyscrapers.

Are you tired of Callouts that just cease to exist once they are completed? Many Callouts in this pack feel alive. Shot a suspect during a call? Stick around and you might see the body being picked up after you already left the scene. Drive around the same area and you might spot a police car securing the area later on. The calls will live on in the world. Every action has consequences and the world will reflect this. It will evolve without your input.

Keybinds

Every key used by this pack can be changed in the DefinitiveCallouts.ini settings.

By default the following keys are used:

EndCalloutKey=End

DialogKey=Y

InteractionKey=X

Installation:

NOTICE:  RageNativeUI is necessary for the pack to run correctly. Everything you need is included in this download. Follow the installation guide and you should not get any errors/crashes whatsoever.

Copy the plugins folder into your main Grand Theft Auto directory (ex: .../steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto V/)

If installed correctly it should look like this: Grand Theft Auto V/plugins/LSPDFR/DefinitiveCallouts.dll

Copy the RAGENativeUI.dll and RAGENativeUI.xml into the main Grand Theft Auto V folder (ex: .../steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto V/)

That's it 🙂 Have fun playing!

Menu:

It is heavily suggested that you also install Police Menu. This will further inhance your experience with this pack!

Current Callouts:

Broken Vehicle: Drive to the area to find a civilian with a broken down Vehicle

Domestic Disturbance: A neighbor called the cops after a loud argument. Drive to the location and find out if everything is alright.

Barricaded Terrorists: Terrorist have taken hostages inside the FIB tower. Meet with the commanding officer to find a strategy to handle the situation.

Neighbor Dispute: Two neighbors are having a lot argument. Drive to the location and help figure things out.

Assist at Public Event: Meet up with the Head of Security and find out how you can help them.

What's New in Version 1.1.1

Released

Update Installation 1.1.1:

IMPORTANT:  If you are updating from a previous version, replace DefinitiveCallouts.dll.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed bug in Barricaded Suspects Callout tthat softlocked the game if you are playing with Damage-altering mods

  • Fixed crash during the Domestic Disturbance Callout

  • Fully removed any traces of the Debug Flage attached to the players hand

Previous Changelog:

Spoiler

Update Installation 1.1.0:

IMPORTANT:  If you are updating from a previous version, replace DefinitiveCallouts.dll.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed bug in Barricaded Suspects Callout that softlocked the game when the Backup Officer dies before killing the Hostagetaker

  • Fixed debug leftover that attached a CS gas prop to the player

Update Installation 1.0.9:

IMPORTANT:  If you are updating from a previous version, replace DefinitiveCallouts.dll.

Misc:

  • Added newest version of RageNativeUI

  • Fixed version of the file not corresponding to the version shown ingame

Update Installation 1.0.8:

IMPORTANT:  If you are updating from a previous version, replace DefinitiveCallouts.dll.

New Callout - Assist at Public Event:

  • Dispatch has sent you to assist at a Public Movie Event. Meet up with the Head of Security and assist them.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed Ped Mouth moving after finishing the dialogue with no choices

  • Added additional crashfixing to DomesticDisturbance Callout

Update Installation 1.0.7:

IMPORTANT:  If you are updating from a previous version, replace DefinitiveCallouts.dll.

Overall Changes:

  • Changed the Dialogsystem to a more RPG-Style one:

  • -> The characters will no longer use ingame voices since they became very repetitive and didn't fit their situations. It is now replaced by convincing animations.

  • -> The dialog will now be focused on either the player or the other person, depending on who is speaking right now.

  • -> The player can (if available) asks questions to find out more about the story told in the callout.

  • Minor bugfixes and removing of unneccesary code leftovers

Barricaded Terrorists:

  • Added bomb-defused scenario

  • Changed Bomb Timer to 80 seconds and Defuse Timer to 5 seconds:

  • -> The bomb was always supposed to explode in the old version. Since I added a new scenario where the bomb can be defused now, I increased the Bomb Timer. It is still a challenge to fight off the armored suspects in that time (as is intended), but it is now actually possibe to defuse the bomb.

  • Fixed bug that would not delete objects inside the building when the callout was completed.

Misc:

  • Added groundwork for another Callout -> Assist at Public Event:

  • -> This Callout is just for internal testing. It will not appear during normal gameplay yet, forcing the Callout will display a Code 4 message.

Update Installation 1.0.6:

IMPORTANT:  If you are updating from a previous version, replace DefinitiveCallouts.dll.

Callouts:

  • Removed Legacy Callouts. When porting these older callouts to my new project some bugs appeared due to the new structure. Since those callouts could crash alot and don't meet my current standard for this pack I decided to remove them until I can rebuild them from the ground up.

  • Created groundwork for two upcoming Callouts: Welfare Check and Moneytruck Robbery

Interactive Menu:

  • Since many players didn't even know this was a thing I decided to release the menu as a standalone version. The menu is no longer required, but heavily suggested to enhance your gameplay. You can find the new menu here.

  • If you installed the vehicle_spawn.gfx and vehicle_spawn.ytd files earlier, these can now either be deleted or left alone since neither plugins search for that specific name anymore.

what path do I use to remove files from OIV that was put in with installer as you didn't provide an uninstaller ? After installing I now have no menus for other plugins, when a call comes in it no longer pops up on screen pause game menu doesn't even work anymore, I uninstalled all the folders in the GTA directory but have no idea how to uninstall whatever is in the OIV installer and I need to uninstall whatever it is cause this has screwed my game up

The oiv doesn't replace any existing files, neither is it constantly running in the background. So there's no need to deinstall it.

EDIT: I checked again since I ran into this bug in an earlier release. The "no menus" is tied to the Barricaded Terrorists callout, but it should only happen during the flaming building part. After completing (or ending) the callout it should return to normal. Could you tell me what happened when you played this callout? Did you die or end it prematurely?

If you want to avoid disappearing menus, you can (for now) just disable BarricadedTerrorists in the .ini file

RagePluginHook.logRagePluginHook.logI didnt play the callout I opened the computer and closed it out, this was at the start of the game after installing. There has to be something in the OIV because removed all files for GTA V directory and even replaced ragenative back to existing pre install of these files and I still have the same issue still no menu's visible, no callout details pop ups, and can't access the pause game menu when I pause the game all I get is infinite hamster wheel spinning, i have to close my game by opening the End Task Menu on my computer and shut GTA down

I uploaded a new version (still needs to be approved my mods, if you want to test it message me on Discord: Obeisant#8871) which fixed the bug in the callout which could cause menus disappearing. But that's only triggered by that specific Callout.

The menu itself is it's own contained thing, it doesn't even start unless you press the button combination. So if you still get those missing menus without ever opening it, it's definitely something else.

If you need help message me on Discord and I'll guide you how to deinstall if that still doesn't work

i would prefer to know exactly what the oiv.installer does install and the exact location/path where every single file gets installed to. we have to make sure to get pack to a preinstall version. lots of people, like me, are using tons of mods, scripts, plugins. to make gta working properly with all this, it's necessary to undo the last change in case there are some bugs, crashes etc. if i can't revert a setup i will never execute it in first place.

it would make sense to add a version which provides a manual setup where i have to put all files in their right place by myself. so it's easy to revert.

what a pitty, because the idea behind the callouts sounds great. hopefully we can get the needed details!

Thanks for the feedback (and RPH log) 🙂

For the Log part: Nothing from my Calloutpack is loaded (not even the menu). So I'm not quite sure what causes your menus to be missing

I updated the description on here to include the filepaths and a short description of what's included inside the .oiv installer. I hope this helps

pull the plug in out of your plug ins folder ? or is beyond just look for the files that are in the gta v marked folder and open plugs folder and remove the files

Looking forward to try this out! I love the callouts with the neighbours, it's sounding nice! I would love to see more of those call outs, and not just responding and shooting and the heavy ass call outs but just relaxed kinds just like the neighbours. Looking forward to try it out!

I figured it out. Chadc78 is correct in stating that it has something to do with the OIV. The OIV does in fact install 2 new files, meaning it doesn't replace anything, however the issue is that it also removes all the other files in the scaleform_generic.rpf  folder, leaving only the vehicle_spawn.ytd and vehicle_spawn.gfx files. I tested it by adding back all the missing files into the scaleform_generic.rpf folder with the additional 2 files added by the OIV, and everything works as it should.

That's weird. When I tested it multiple times it only installs those two files and copies the entire .rpf if it wasn't already in the mods folder. I guess it could be a version difference with OpenIV?

I guess I'm going to change the oiv installer to a manual installation then

No problem, man. Glad I could help. This callout pack is one of the most ambitious ones I've seen and I'm excited to see where it goes. Thanks for making it!

I already uploaded a new (manual) version. It jzst needs to be approved by a mod so it's publicly available

The pack is awesome. But something that I really lack is the ability to actually defuse the bomb in the terrorist callout. Makes it feel like you always lose when it blows up. Id suggest getting the timer up a bit to a point where it is still hard to get to the bomb after killing all terrorists to allow for the destroyed building part to actually happen too. all of the other callouts are great! Waiting for more updates!

Hopefully you installed the OIV to your mods folder because then you can just copy over the files from your game folder into your mods folder.

update -> update.rpf -> x64 -> data -> cdimages -> scaleform_generic.rpf

If you installed into your game folder then you're gonna either have to verify your game files to get those files back (bad because it'll overwrite changes made to other files) or maybe the mod author could help you get those files back via his Discord.

Does the menu only work during callouts or can it be used at anytime?

This happens when I accept a callout and try to open the menu. It also disables my mouse and I cannot move my character

Thanks for reporting 🙂

It's a bug caused when the first accepted Callout is not from my pack. I forgot to set the Details properly so it's crashes. I'll fix it by the next update.

How to avoid:

The first time you go on duty, just force any of my Callouts first and accept it. After that you can play any callout as usual.

So I was playing with the callout the "Lost Suspect". I have a Police PED partner from my Ultimate Backup with me as we go to the Golf Area in which the callout is set. So I pressed Y to enter the helicopter and after I got inside the helicopter I pressed T (Ultimate Backup interaction key) to see if my partner can get in as well but he doesn't. After that I got under the map and I saw my character being dragged out by my partner out of the helicopter and my character ran and has been arrested. I don't think that's how it should go. Hahahaha 🤣 But after that I exited the helicopter and my character is suddenly invisible even I didn't turn it on but I can see my other character that has been arrested in handcuffs. Then I used my Simple Trainer to see if I can become visible again and I enabled and disabled the invisible option and my character became visible again and then it crashed.
