Let There Be Light by greyplatIntroducing Let There Be Light: a revolutionary flashlight and laser plugin designed for ease of access, custom tailoring to your weapons and play style, and smooth patrols. Most flashlight overhauls are simply a .ytd and forget, but LTBL changes that completely. This plugin completely disables GTAV's native flashlight and rebuilds its own from scratch; this means that you have complete and total control over the properties of both the handheld and weapon flashlights. Wish the weapon flashlight was persistent? You can change that. Wish the beam was brighter? You can change that. Wish you could change the color? You can change that. Wish the beam had more range or a wider cone? You guessed it, you can change that. There are absolutely no OIV files required; everything is 100% configurable with the in-game menu. The lasers are bright, on-point, and come in a variety of colors. The opacity, position, and dot size are all fully configurable on the fly. In-Game MenuThe in-game menu is the main hub for all of your necessary settings and configurations. There are several categories depending on what you need to change. The main sections are the laser settings, weapon flashlight settings, and the handheld flashlight settings. In both the laser settings and weapon flashlight settings, the inspection setting is there and it allows you to have several closeup angles of your equipped weapon for easier flashlight/laser configuration. For addon weapons specifically, there's a check box called "Light for this weapon" that you can turn on if the weapon has an unrecognized flashlight component. Lasers are always available and are attached to the weapon barrel by default. For native weapons, the default flashlight component should always be recognized by the plugin and the beam placed in the correct spot. If for any reason you need/want to change the flashlight or laser origin point, you can do so in the in-game menu. The plugin comes with an optional animation for the handheld flashlight. When you turn to look, the flashlight prop in your hand follows accordingly. An extra file is available for an OIV install of a prop replacement, as the default one is big and bulky. The option for a taser flashlight is available in the settings but switched to off by default. The handheld flashlight is even more configurable than the weapon ones; as there are 2 different modes you can switch between instantly by pressing K on your keyboard. The dimmer mode is meant for regular patrolling and traffic stops, while the brighter mode is an almost blinding, bright light meant for searches and pitch-black areas. There's an option to enable realistic shadowing for the flashlight, which is off by default to save GPU resources, although the GPU hit really isn't much. LasersThe lasers are simple but helpful. In the in-game menu, there's an option to disable the native GTA reticle; I highly recommend you use this for the best experience. There are several different laser colors- red, blue, green, purple, white, orange etc. that you can switch between. The laser, regardless of where you attach it to on your weapon, will always be dead center on your target where your reticle would've been. The laser has up/down, left/right, forward/back sliders that you can use to precisely place it on any attachment/ part of the weapon you'd like. Each weapon has its own profile that saves to your Let There Be Light data file in your plugins folder. If any mistakes are made, you can simply press the reset position button and start over.
