  • Ped Observation
    • Get observations for any ped
      • Automatic traffic stop observations for all occupants
      • Gets status of ped including mood, behavior, and signs of intoxication
  • [NEW] Lite Menu Based Computer System
    • Run record checks, issue citations, summons, and create arrest reports with the new computer system
    • Fully integrated with the rest of this plugin
    • Customizable XML files for charges and citations
      • IMPORTANT! Do not edit/add any new main root entries (eg direct descendants of the "Main" root). They will not be recognized by my plugin
        • You can only add/edit entries under these roots with the "Charge" name
  • Traffic Stop Questions
    • [NEW] Traffic stop questioning menu, replaces default LSPDFR+ one
      • To use, approach a car on a traffic stop and press the interaction key (default "Y") to open the menu

        • Ask the driver for their license and proof of insurance
          • If the driver has no license, a suspended license, or warrants, there is a chance they will refuse to identify themselves to you, which is arrestable.
        • Ask for passenger's identification
        • Tell the driver the reason for pulling them over (27 default reasons so far, just comment any more ideas you have and I will try to add them)

          • "Where are you headed?"
          • "Where are you coming from?"
          • "Is the address on your license current?"

        • Most question's answers will depend on the ped's mood/intoxication level

  • Evidence
    • Store any evidence you find in any police vehicle
    • View stored evidence
    • Drop off stored evidence at any police station, marked by a "stash" icon on the map (pot leaf blip next to police stations)
  • Field Narcotics Test Kits
    • Narcotics stored in your evidence can be tested using reagent test kits in your trunk
      • Positive tests are automatically stored in evidence
      • Automatically recognizes when you store drugs in evidence and makes them available for testing
        • Drugs are not always what they seem, e.g. sometimes what you think is meth will turn out to be PCP or cocaine
      • If you use one of the custom XML files, these phrases are currently recognized by evidence storage as able to be tested:

        • "tan" or "brown powder"

      • Phencyclidine Reagent (PCP)
      • Ehrlich's Reagent (LSD)
    • Custom narcotics.xml for DarkMyre's Search Warrant and PoliceSearch adds more options for unidentified drugs such as: "white powder", "suspicious crystals", etc
  • Automatic Pursuit Updates
    • When in a pursuit, will automatically give information on the speed and direction that the suspect vehicle is heading.
    • Also gives details on traffic condition such as light, medium, or heavy (togglable)
  • [NEW] Integrated Lite Court System
    • Upon creating an arrest report, a court case will automatically be generated for the arrest
    • There is a customizable amount of time between the arrest date and court date in the .ini file
    • Active court cases options
      • View name, charges, court date, and force early case hearing
    • Past court cases options
      • View name, charges, sentence, and delete one or all entries
    • Sentences depend on severity and amount of charges
    • [!!!IMPORTANT!!!] Due to the new court system, the XML structure of the Charges.xml has changed, adding a new attribute called "life" to every charge. If life is set to true, that charge can carry a life sentence.
      • You must update old customized XML files to include this attribute for every charge or use the new ones provided, otherwise the game will crash
    • [Coming Soon] Evidence system integration

 

Known Bugs:

  • Sometimes arrested peds will leave the backseat of your vehicle and try to drive away. No known fix but to grab them and put them back in the vehicle. Probably a plugin interaction.
    • Have not had happen to me in a while, please report for v2.2.1 if you encounter. Possibly fixed


Installation:

  1. Copy the "Plugins" folder to your main GTA V directory.
  2. Pick an XML to use depending on what search plugin you have for added realism! (not required)
  3. Enjoy!

There are 5 different checks to make sure the ped is not arrested, getting arrested, stopped by STP, or being interacted with by my plugin before being dismissed. This puts me in a tight spot because if I remove the functionality, peds will just stand there indefinitely after you are done interacting if the user is not using STP or the default LSPDFR stop to dismiss them. There are a couple ideas I am toying around with, such as making STP a requirement and only letting the Interaction+ menu open on traffic stops and if the ped is stopped by STP, rewriting the dismissal function and hoping for the best, or making a "Dismiss Ped" option in the menu for each ped, which would still mean having to code the same dismissal function in case the player leaves the area without dismissing the ped. As of right now, I'm not really sure which path to take but will probably just completely rewrite the function in the future

 

no worries my friend... i know that creating such plugin which should handle many situations is not easy and could be very tricky.

after taking a look at your code, I think your dismissal code should be fine. i'll do some more testing in case some other plugin might cause it.

- wrap it with try-catch, especially on each new GameFiber you created..  i'm sure you already did it, but perhaps there's some missed GameFibers that don't have try-catch)

- put a null and invalid checking before you want to access any ped object's attributes

 

example:

if(p != null && p.IsValid() && p.IsInAnyVehicle(false)) {
	// do something
}

that way, we will avoid  "null pointer exception" and "invalid entity exception" crashes if the ped is null or not valid.

Yeah the dismissal bug has plagued the plugin for a very long time, just to show you how much I have tried to stop this issue from happening:

As for the other crash, I do usually use try/catch or ped checks but a crash in that function is very rare because the thread closes very quickly and the reference to the ped only needs to stay alive long enough for it to finish, I will add better error handling to it in the future

Hey Phaxol, I know you've previously mentioned that Interaction+ isn't a replacement for Computer+, but given how many people are doing just that, would you consider creating a mobile version of the Interaction+ lite computer system for patrols that aren't in a vehicle? For example, today I was doing a small patrol across Vespucci Beach with my new character and her police bicycle. I witnessed an incident for which a citation was required when I suddenly realized that I was unable to create any charges/citations without access to a police vehicle. I know Computer+ uses a tablet for scenarios such as these and I would love to see something similar for Interaction+ please.

I'm going to be investigating this bug in the next release, I believe it's caused by STP setting drug/alcohol levels independently of Traffic Policer, should be a simple enough fix using the STP API

Its definitely on my list of planned features; I will probably have one more bug fixing update for this version before I add more to the computer's functionality. I am hoping after the next update to add evidence integration, tablet mode, as well as being able to see prior arrests/citations for peds

Hey @Phaxol so that bug where prisoners will jump out of back seat and take your care away still a thing lol I attached my rage hook from the game it happened in. I ended up having to shoot the person to get them to stop haha

Why is Traffic Policer a requirement to have?  I am going through Albo's mods and comparing them to Ultimate Backup and Stop the Ped to try to use as little mods as possible.  Just wondering why TP is needed.

Cool!  Glad I found this comment.  I like Computer+ but it seems to crash a lot and flickers like you said.  It was somewhat stable with 3.0 but worse with 4.0 so I was looking for something else.  I haven't installed your Interaction+ yet but does your computer+ have everything the original Computer+ has?  Also does it have the ped pics and vehicle pics when you look it up?

It's the most widely used plugin and API that provides ped and vehicle information (plus the mimic function is a literal lifesaver on traffic stops).

 

It'd be nice to have a plugin still in development take over the mantle, of course.

Interaction+ uses a lite computer system so no, it does not have the same features as Computer+ however I don't feel that this is a reason not to use it. Interaction+ is still being developed and new features are being added every few updates. The best thing you can do is try it for yourself and see which works best for you. I had crashes all the time with Computer+ but I've not had a single crash when using the lite computer system of Interaction+.

I agree. Interaction+ (when used alongside a few key mods, such as STP) is fast becoming a necessity for gameplay. I don't see why it shouldn't be on the Essential Mods section to be honest.

I hate having to bug you but you don't have any ATA when this script will be compatible with STP and also the indépendant computer menu for controller users? I'm actually using your computer now instead of Cplus, but those 2 things missing it's a must have. Thank

The independent controller system along with a couple other bug fixes should be done sometime this weekend, while the STP issue will take a little longer. Sorry, I have gotten quite busy again with school work and finals are in 2 weeks so development has slowed again

happy to  hear that, i can wait for the independent controller system, yeah don't worry, it's just really like your computer now and it's just a lot less memory demanding and with the court cases included it's great, just don't stop working on it, it's a really good system you have. Thanks for considering my request, if you want me to test things for you let me know.

I don’t know which mod is cozing that problem and pls let me know if anyone else are having this issue, when you give a citation and there’s a passenger beside the driver, when you go back to your car and they leave, the passenger always get out of the car and start walking. Do you think it’s related to your mod or it’s a LSPDFR issue?

Newest version should be compatible with STP intox levels now, it was based on traffic policer alone before

This can be a common crash. I'm starting to think it is because my plugin pauses the game and then another plugin tries to spawn something but the spawning fails, causing the game to crash. I will look into taking out the pause and seeing if it stops the crash

@Phaxol, just a passing thought: Is there any chance of limiting the help dialogue "to open the computer press 'this button'" that appears in-game? I know Computer+ limited it to once per session. Not game breaking but you know how I'm always suggesting things for Interaction+ 😉

After I order a ped out of the vehicle, sometimes they will just walk back into their vehicle and then I am unable to interact with them again. Any ideas?

The plugin should automatically detect if you are using a controller or not, no need to turn it on or off

After I order a ped out of the vehicle, sometimes they will just walk back into their vehicle and then I am unable to interact with them again. Any ideas?

 

If you could get me a log of when the issue happens I can look into it, is there anything you think might be triggering it?

Not sure, right now I'm making sure I'm being very procedural during a traffic stop to rule out user error. I was just able to perform a horizontal vision test with no issue and then subsequently trigger StopThePed on the driver to perform a pat down and the arrest itself and that seems to work. So far maybe it was just a fluke but I'll keep at it and trying different scenarios. I thought also it might have been some overlapping keys so I ensured I disabled all the LSPDFR 0.4 default traffic interaction keys so I would solely be using Interaction+ and StopThePed.  I also use Computer+ and I'm not sure if there is compatibility as far as peds and their offenses. One lady in Computer+ was showing a suspended license but when I interacted with her through Interaction+, it came back valid. Again, might have been a one-off. 

 

Thanks for all the hard work on this though, its such essential functionality and when its all working smooth it's perfect.

Are you using the default .ini file? It was working when I tested it, and I put in the version on the site and it is still working for me. By default the control is Dpad right + X to open the main interaction menu, and Dpad right + A for the other buttons

Hmm not sure where Computer+ gets its license info from, I use the LSPDFR api to generate all info for the peds to try and keep consistent. In the future when I add ped preivious arrests/tickets, it will vary from what Computer+ says as it will draw charges from my XML files. And thank you, I try to get it as smooth as possible 🙂 its hard with such a large plugin and highly variable playing environments
