VocalDispatch 1.8.1.0

(106 reviews)

Welcome to VocalDispatch for LSPDFR!

If you watched the video, remember that Charlie 63 is my unit number - not something you need to say to make it work. You should choose your own identifier.

DISCLAIMER: Although I am not done working on VocalDispatch, I've become extremely busy with work and will not be working on it for a while. I will offer the best support I can, but my response times will be slower.

Features:

  • Communicate verbally with dispatch
  • Accept a callout verbally
  • Request backup (code 2, code 3, pursuit, air unit, SWAT, ambulance, firetruck) verbally
  • End current callout verbally
  • Tow truck and transport support (via Arrest Manager)
  • Custom Backup and Better EMS integration
  • Responses to status (show me <status>) and detained/in custody reports for videos and added immersion
  • Varied and appropriate responses to verbal communication
  • Developer API for integration with third party software

To use features provided via Arrest Manager, you will need to install Arrest Manager by Albo1125, version 7.9.1.0 or higher. You can get it here:

To get the best backup and EMS functionality, please install the following two plugins.

VocalDispatch will automatically use both of these plugins, if installed.

Non-English Languages

It is possible to use VocalDispatch in other languages. You can do this by editing the {GTA V}\plugins\lspdfr\VocalDispatch\default.xml file to reflect the appropriate words in your language and changing the locale setting in {GTA V}\plugins\lspdfr\VocalDispatch.ini. If community contributors wish to translate the files and upload them for a certain language, I will add them here.

no it should be just "it"

Nothing, it keep saying that there is an error with my locale even if I changed to "IT", I have also tried "it-IT" and "ita-IT". Maybe there is an error because italian doesn't have a speech recognition. Before I tried to change the language to eng and it worked, but I can't have the same pronunciation as an american so it doesn't recognised me  ;-)

@AutumnBreeze Is it responding at all? (i.e. is it just saying "Didn't copy, please say again." or is it ignoring 100%?)

@Cy4n1d3 you'll want the value of the "PreferredText" and, if needed, "AcceptedAlternates" attributes of the "Word" elements. i.e. change <Word PreferredText="ten"/> to <Word PreferredText="diez"/> for Spanish, etc.

(sorry for my bad english :/ )

So, Ii tried to install vocal dispatch but I couldn't load it. I have updatet lspdfr to version 0.3, RPH to 0.38 and Arrest Manager to 5.8.0.3

I've read the readme, watched tutorials on youtube, etc, I did the same, but it still doesn't work. Arrest Manager could be loaded.

@turbofandude

Fantastic mod!

However, I'm having two issues:

1) When I call for a towtruck, I'm ALWAYS prompted to move the vehicle or "press Y" to transport the truck to me.

2) When I call for a transport, it ALWAYS says that it's unavailable.

I can request those things with the Arrest Manager/Police Radio menu's just fine, otherwise.

Sure! I was hoping native speakers would help with translations. I don't change the script much these days, so it's fairly safe to start translations.

Just to be sure, you are running everything updated, correct? I've never experienced these things. @Albo1125 Have you ever heard of this?

A log file would help.

Most likely you're running 2 (duty) instances of LSPDFR

I believe so, yes. Seems like I'm the only one experiencing this.

Sure, I've attached the log file. Also, I tried going on duty the long way (going to the police station) and pressing F9 with the same results. Not sure how I can check if there are multiple duty instances.

Would it be possible to create our own event triggers through the Traffic Policer API and other such mods to use with this??? I've been farting around with adding and adjusting mods for about a week now and I've gotten pretty good with VocalDispatch and The Menu but I can't figure out how to look at the names of event triggers in .dll files. Something about Visual Studio but it won't let me go to the right directory when trying to select a reference. I should mention I understand the basics of .xml (obviously) as I mentioned messing with The Menu. Seems fairly simple once you grasp the concept. Any help would be appreciated. Great mod, by the way. Loving it. Found out most of the people complaining "it doesn't work" tend not to read instructions.

Can someone help me please?

The author said you can make custom phrases to add more in depth realism. I'm trying to add a custom phrase for being on scene, notifying dispatch of a traffic stop, and a few more. I have tried adding the phrases, however in game when I attempt  a new phrase it does not work. I edited the script xml to add the phrases but it's not working.

Anyone know how to add them?

@Effridgy I have been wondering the same thing man. I'm also curious how to add your own phrases to the script.xml file. Do you need to use visual studio to complete the new phrases you add in?

I'm lost with this, I could really use some guidance on how to add my own Vocal Dispatch Phrases, even a video of how to do so would be nice. I'm trying to add a custom phrase for being on scene, notifying dispatch of a traffic stop, and a few more to no avail will it work though. Any suggestions? :/

LSPD First Response: VocalDispatch: Encountered an exception. It was: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
No clue what this means and how to fix it, Vocal Dispatch doesn't load when I ForceDuty and there's an error message in the list above the radar saying to check the log.

Indeed it is - with the new API (in 1.5.0.0), you can customize or add whatever you want to VocalDispatch - there's a guide on using it here: https://github.com/turbofandude/VocalDispatchAPIExample

The API and xml files can accomplish this - if you'd like, I could do a short video explaining everything.

@Albo1125

Here is a new (shorter) log file using only LSPDFR, the newest VocalDispatch, and the newest Arrest Manager, I get the same problem. Requesting a 1016, I get notified that it was unable to send a transport, as well as the towtruck notification always wanting me to move the vehicle to a more reachable location or spawn in the wilderness.

To anyone experiencing the issue where it will load, display the notification that it loaded, then ignore key/button input, try 1.5.1.0 (or later). I addressed that specifically.
