Seriously. I'm getting so damn tired of this. What happens: I wake up. Look at LCPDFR, see a cool new model. Think "nice, can't wait to download that tonight and play with it!". Go to work. Think about how much fun it's going to be. Get home. Model is gone. Cry. 

A small but persistent number of people in this community are so obsessed with keeping total control over anybody so much as making a crayon drawing that looks like one of their models, and it really ruins the fun. Come on people, it's a video game. You didn't create the original models of the cars, you aren't an engineer for Whelen who designed that lightbar. We're here to have fun. Directly ripping off somebody's complete model and pretending you made it, that's wrong. But if somebody uses a small component of your model, a small piece of a texture, or something like that... as long as they give credit, what's the big deal? It doesn't make people look cool to be the only one releasing nice looking models (by shutting down the competition), it makes them look selfish. 

Pim, hopefully this is a misunderstanding and your model will be up again soon. I guess I need to start immediately downloading any new models so I don't have to worry about them getting yanked. 

Why can't we all just get along. 

The stuff this community produces now is already amazing and that's with the "jumping through hoops" that has to be done just to get rights for everything. If this community just eased up a bit with the rights and if people could just credit people where it is due, that isn't hard to do, nor do I think that is too much to ask of anyone. The results of just some extra freedom with modding, and modelling could see some quite sensational things. Faster production of mods and models (not necessarily, but possibly) and even better quality than we already have. (which are super great as they are!)

I don't mod.  I wish I could but, but school and lack of knowledge really doesn't allow for it, so I know this small rant might be completely ignored for this reason, and is slightly sel-serving.  However I don't think that it is too much to ask that people just simply credit other people's work. Just two seconds of typing and that should be good. You should definately also ask if it is alright but these people shouldn't have to jump through hoops just because someone wants to have complete control over their content. You have put your content on the internet- I think that should come with a "share at your own risk" at that point. Donations, I guess, would have to be the responsibility of each modder to ensure that the donations are redirected to the appropriate people responsible for parts of the model and the model itself (difficult to do yes, but we are playing a game all about doing crime and crimes, as police stopping crime. I think we could figure it out.) 

Let us hope this can all be resolved so that this community can become more in depth, more cohesive, and more spectacular just as we all know it can be.

Sadly that's true. I took it down myself. Because the model maker wasn't very happy to say it nice. I weren't allowed to upload a newer version somehow. And I have to take the unmarked down to, (was planing to update it to) Maybe I was competitive.

I have put so much work in this model, to make people want to play it again. That sadly doesn't get appreciated.

I'm really sorry to hear that has happened. Seems like nobody can get along in this community sometimes. Hopefully it'll blow over and he'll come around and let you put it back for the public. The part that really irks me, is the fact that this prevents the community from being able to enjoy new content. All because of some silly drama.

Competitive?  Really? I have already answered this, but I will answer again, we have different techniques, and I do not get any profit from that, so it's just funny

You have done so much work? You added other texture for interior, the author of which you are not? By the way, you do not even credit the real author of this texture
What has changed in the model? lightbar and pushbar, and all? and it's hard work, huh?

lets just get along gentleman ,  come on its a game and both of you are willing to help old guys like me by making awesome models/ or even updating current models ,  to me both of yall do awesome work ,  I think there are more important things to get hissy over ,  we are all adults well atleast i hope because if yall are some young highschoolers than yall are way smarter than most with your programming/ modding abilities ,  but again like I said both of yall have did awesome work to this model ,  and at the end of the day no offense to either of you but most folks dont really care who made the model they just like cool things that keep this game interesting.

Can anybody tell me where the carivations.meta goes? And if there is anything else I need to install, because I can't open the readme as I dont have Microsoft Office and simply don't wanna create an account.

I've followed the instructions in the readme but the car is unstable and constantly rolls over. Any ideas?

Hello PIM, I'm in love with this model. The lightbar fits perfectly atop an explorer. I was curious if I could take a template and edit those and reupload them as my own skin, you'd be properly credited of course.

Great model! I installed it like the readme said but its lights wont turn on. like they are on the vehicle and the siren works but no lights. I installed it on the police transporter and used HBengston's texture.

just change the names in the file from "police3" to "sheriff2". that's what I did and I have it for sheriff2

Which vehicles can this replace? I have modded cars on police3 already.

Hi yeah, you still haven't fixed the LOD problem. The car still disappears way to close to the player.

Where is the interior download? This seems to have a low quality one still. And I can't find the updated version.
