This plugin makes the headlights flash while you have your siren on or you can toggle them with T without having your sirens on.

Check the Emergency Strobes Configuration.ini file to change various settings and controls.

The patterns can be changed in the Emergency Strobes Patterns.xml file.

Someone else has just said they are experiencing the same issue, it might be for certain users but not sure what would be causing it :(

It is for me, its just when the plugin is loaded and running on normal GTA its fine and i took it out and the stuttering stopped, the game is still playable but its really annoying. I looks like every 2-3 seconds it stutters

Ok, can you try to disable in the .ini the strobes for the AI?

I can confirm that disablig AI strobes removes the stutter :)
Also, for me, the stutter only occurs in the city ^^ Never in the desert :)

I also don't know if that SPAM is normal :

Ok, I will try to optimize the plugin more but I don't think I can do much more, the problem might be in the GTA V lighting system that isn't optimized to flash the vehicles headlights very fast.
And that spam is normal, it logs everytime a vehicle is detected or deleted.

So, in 3 seconds (01:23:53 to 01:23:55), 10 police vehicules where detected by the plugin ? There is so much police cars next to the player in the city ? :p

Also, the stutters should be only present if the police cars were using their sirens, right ? (I can be wrong here, I don't know how your plugin works)

I don't know where those vehicles were detected, you might have been driving near a police station/hospital/fire station, in a pursuit... It detects every vehicle that has sirens, this includes police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, towtrucks, except the excluded models in the .ini, so it isn't that rare to have 10 vehicles detected.

I will try to improve my code, but I already optimized it a lot because the first internal version with the working AI strobes the frames dropped under 20fps and now it doens't have any noticeable frame drops or stuttering, at least in my computer.

Until I update it you will have to disable the AI strobes.

I was going to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle and the suspect took off as soon as I signaled him to pull over. A blip for a cop on the map appeared just nearby and the game completely crashed.

I played with your lattest version a couple of days ago with no issue but I think I will revert to the previous version in the meantime, I guess there is something too demanding with the UI also using the strobes :smile:

I played with your lattest version a couple of days ago with no issue but I think I will revert to the previous version in the meantime, I guess there is something too demanding with the UI also using the strobes :smile:

It isn't really an issue on my plugin, I have been getting that kind of crashes(System.AccessViolationException) with pratically any plugin, it seems to be an issue with RPH, maybe due to some kind of extra protection added to GTA V in one of the latest updates. Not much that I can do about it.

Im having an issue where the left light wont stobe while i am in the vehicle however when i am out of the vehicle or look at another vehicle both lights are strobing. Weird

The only time I've ever seen that was when my car was damaged, after I repaired it everything was good!

I fixed the car multiple times. Still no fix. It was weird. I have slowed the time interval on the lights to see if that will fix the issue. Ill let you know! Thanks for the response.

Well that did fix my issue. I have slight hiccups with the vehicle lights when i step out of the car however its so minute that this works. Amazing mod. Im fine. Thanks!

Absolutely love this! Is there any way to make it like in GTA 4 LCPDFR where you could have different patterns of your HLF. Like where they alternate then flash together. Orrrr where they start slow and speed up? That would be cool!

I think the issues of what is causing stutters are different for everyone.. I've not had any stuttering issues with this Plugin at all..

For the next version I'm planning on add a system where you can create your own patterns in the .ini file.

This Plugin is the reason for the stuttering for me too. I spent hours trying to figure out what was causing it. Finally decided to load every plugin manually 1 by 1 and this one is when it started. I love the mod, but the stuttering makes it not usable.

I do have the feeling that it has some problems with modded in cars or maybe with the Improved Spotlight and LED lighting.

 

My game likes to crash once in a while when I have emergency strobes running since I added cars and the new lightning.

when I turn off emergency strobes I dont have problems.

Did anybody experience the same ?

When I run this mod even without using the strobes, my game stutters on a regular 2 second interval.  I stopped it loading on game start and its fine again.  So I can't use this mod until I can find a solution...can anyone help me on this? x

Attached are the two consecutive times where the plugin crashed. Don't really know what specfically I did to cause it to crash, once I entered a vehicle and it crashed, another time I accepted a callout and it crashed. When I unload the plugin the game doesn't crash. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks in advance.

That's a crash due to some protection added in one of latest updates of GTA V that the developers of RPH weren't aware of when they released the RPH update, this should be fixed in the next version of RPH.

Hey @alexguirre, I just noticed a strange bug with Bxbugs123 CVPI.
If I spawn the car, then use strobes : no problems. If I play with a trainer to spawn EXTRA parts of the car, no problem, the strobes works correctly.

BUT if I remove the EXTRA part 3, the entire front light textures diseapears when the strobe is off. If I add it again, the strobes works correctly. If I remove it, bug again.

Its strange because its only when removing the part 3. (the two search lights on the doors). Its also strange because if the car is spawned WITHOUT this part 3, the strobes are working correctly. But If you add or remove an EXTRA, its over for you (except if you add the part 3) :p

Bug with your plugin, or with the Bxbugs model ?
