This script replaces GTA V street names with realistic Los Angeles equivalents and adds a lightweight compass + jurisdiction display.
Please note, that this is my first ever mod created with the help of AI.
Highly Inspired by @Venoxity 's SimpleHUD and the Vcompass mod by MNHC Mods.
Features:
- Real LA street names (200+ replacements)
- City vs County detection
- Clean HUD (no vanilla districts)
- Built-in compass (no external mods required)
- Optimized for LSPDFR
Installation:
Drop the .cs file into your /scripts/ folder.
Requirements:
- ScriptHookV
- ScriptHookVDotNet v3
THIS WILL BE WIP!!!
SMALL DISCLAIMER/ INFO
The Areas/ Streets might not be 1:1 geographically. I kept my focus on what for me makes the most sense. If you like to change Areas or Streets, you can open the .cs file with Notepad++ and change the name of the street or area to your preference.
What you can expect in the future:
I'm currently working on a postal system, either compatible with the SimpleHUD postal map or a Los Angeles County inspired postal code system. As well as an in-game menu.
Have Fun!
I really appreciate the overall positive feedback!
Please hit me up if you have any experience in scripting.
Please be gentle on me since this is my very first mod :)

- Mod and Mod Content (Substantial)
I used help from ChatGPT to get the scripting/ coding done, since I do not have any clue as of how that works. This was what I felt was missing for my LA/ SoCal setup for the last couple of years.
