About

 

  • Bait Car is a plugin that allows you to catch car thieves in the act. Select a vehicle model, wait for it to arrive, park it somewhere, hide down the street, and wait for the car thieves to come in. Once someone steals the vehicle, follow them and the on screen prompts to proceed.
  • Vehicle models, Ped models, Weapons used in scenarios, wait times, keybinds, etc. are fully customizable in the configuration file.
  • Vehicles can be re-used multiple times.
  • Multiple suspects can now take the bait car!

 

 

Currently Supports

RAGE Plugin Hook 1.89 & 1.90 (Latest)
LSPDFR 0.4.9 (Build 8037+ required for new API functions. Older versions will work, but will crash the plugin when you call for backup)

 

 

Installation

  1. Extract the included zipped folder to any location (ex. your desktop)
  2. Drag all files from the "Grand Theft Auto V" folder included with this plugin into your main Grand Theft Auto V game folder.
  3. If asked to replace any files, select replace.
  4. Once all files have been copied, start up your game, and go on duty with LSPDFR to load the plugin.
  5. Installation is complete

  2. Please ALWAYS include your RagePluginHook.log file from your main directory (the text document) with any support request

  • Built for Rage Plugin Hook v1.90/LSPDFR v0.4.9 (0.4.8037.37597, Latest)
  • Fixed detection issues when player parked the bait car (green circle not showing up)
  • Fixed crash on plugin load when there is an invalid keybind in the configuration file
  • Fixed suspects going to same offset from vehicle, bumping into each other
  • Added link to list of possible keybinds to configuration file
  • Fixed CompuLite crash
  • Fixed rare occurrence where suspects could not be pulled out at gunpoint (felony stop)

I cannot get this mod to work. I go in game and hit the ` button and a box called cheat code pops up. I then type in bait car and nothing happens. 

 

Any ideas?

Assuming you've installed the mod correctly, and have loaded LSPDFR, press F7 to bring up the menu for Baitcar.

Love the mod!  I can't get any controller button to work as the kill switch.  I've set it as four different buttons but none work.  The only one that does work in the keyboard.

Please Stray, as you can see from my other messages on your mods, I love your mods and I hope you can update this to the new RAGE and LSPDFR 0.3 as soon as possible :)

By the way, sorry if I annoy you with all these messages saying for you to upgrade but I really like the stuff you make! :D

I have a problem with BaitCar mod. Everytime I try to spawn a vehicle LSPDFR crashes, and I have to start over again. It won't work. I tried using an older version but it didn't work. Here is my log: http://pastebin.com/vt34ZjhQ does anyone know a fix, because I used baitcar on LCPDFR and I thought it was very fun.

I think Straysify has to update the mod to work with the newer 0.3 lspdfr and ragehook plugin.  We all are experiencing the same crash.

The issue I have is after I press "Request a bait car" button.

The issue could be it is made for LSPDFR 0.2b
You have to wait for it to be update to work with LSPDFR 0.3.1.. He is probably working on updating it along with his other mods.. Just have to wait.. In the meantime I would remove it for now.. 

Or someone will come along and tell you otherwise.. I only use stuff that is made to be compatible with 0.3.1

Thanks for the info. I updated my LSPDFR to current 0.3.1. I kinda figured it was not updated yet. I have sense then removed it. I'll wait for the update.
