Player Location Display V4.00

(55 reviews)

6 Screenshots

PLDPlayer Location Display is a script modification that displays the player's current location (including street name or intersection, area name, and region) at the bottom-left corner of the user's screen.

DESCRIPTION
− PLD displays the player’s current in-game location on the screen.
− Location includes street name or intersection, district name, and region.
− PLD also displays the current in-game time.
− PLD allows the user to toggle the size of the radar and provides some informative multiplayer** features.

NOTES
− Consult the FEATURE INFO file to learn more about PLD and its features.
− It is recommended that you disable subtitles (PAUSE > SETTINGS > DISPLAY > SUBTITLES) when using PLD to prevent overlap.
**Multiplayer is understood to be a 3rd party multiplayer mod, such as FiveReborn.

INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.

− 1. Place the .asi and .ini files provided in the download inside your main GTAV game directory.
− 2. Modify the .ini file as you see fit.
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− PLD is coded by Lt.Caine.
− Thank you to Alexander Blade without whose work scripting for GTAV would not be possible.

I guess you use non-English game language. So try changing game language to Eng through "GTAVLanguageSelect.exe" in game root folder or google it for other methods. It helped me before.

WOW not one single response from the community yet?

MatrixNative, sure you figured this out already but just encase you are still having issues.   The hidden text is from Grammar Police you have installed.  You really only get that when you forceduty or (go on duty)

If you need the PLD text above the grammar police text use the settings config below

// LUXART PLAYER LOCATION DISPLAY by Lt.Caine (Ver. 4.00)

[ GENERAL ]
LocTextPosX = 320
LocTextPosY = 980
LocTextPosX_RadarLrg = 470
LocTextPosY_RadarLrg = 1035
LocTextSizeMult = 1.1
DisplayGameTime = true
AllowRadarSizeToggle = true
AllowControllerUse = false

[ MULTIPLAYER ]
ShowPlayerObituaries = false
DisplayPlayerBlips = false
DisplayTeamBlipsOnly = false

Is there a way to lower the transparency? In sunny days, I have problems seeing the text, time is almost invisible.

Hello! With this, there is a text that comes with LSPDFR that Is layered behind this, causing the words to be unreadable. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, LSPDFR comes with a "Status:" text just to the right of the mini-map that displays your current status (En Route, On Duty, etc.). I would like to disable this so I can see the PLD properly. Does anyone know how?

EDIT: I see the response to another person asking the same thing. Disregard.

Same issue here with latest versions. Nothing is showing up on the screen. Any idea of the issue?

I am having the exact same issue. I have followed the online tutorial vid to install thinking that somehow I was doing something wrong. Yet, I still get nothing showing up.

I really enjoy PLD, and I want to ask. Is there any way to use this for FiveM? Server sided. There are alternatives such as Street Labels but I prefer this script. Street Labels can be buggy

I wish it would also display the mph of the road your driving on

I have a CTD after 10-15 minutes of playing.

For some reason the problem present only with ELS+PLD plugin combination.

Without PLD everything works fine.

UPD: after language change everything works like a charm. Thx to @donut.

Does this have Turn Signal Options?

I'm trying to find one that allows you to use the arrows, Left Arrow for Left turn signal, Right for Right turn signal and Down Arrow for hazards

Works fine for me.  Just make sure that both the PLD files and also the latest Script Hook V are installed into main game directory.

It is possible that the parameters for location when radar is large waiting for a call is no longer working?

LocTextPosX_RadarLrg = 560
LocTextPosY_RadarLrg = 920

I changed them but seems to stay at the same place. Anyone had the same experience?

Ya I am guessing that feature does not work when radar is large.  However, if you want to just disable to large radar feature when receiving a callout, you can do the following:

Go to lspdfr folder in main game directory > lspdfr.ini config file >   look for  Callouts.DisableBigRadar = true     change it to true and it should not enlarge the map when receiving callouts.

That's actually a pretty good idea also. I do like the feature but will probably prefer to disable it then. Thank you

Any plans on adding the speed limits of roads in the future?

That would be awesome!! I've used Rage Show My Location as well, but I think this script has a much better presentation. I would be simply awesome to add this function to an already great script. It would also be fantastic if the user can alter the level of transparency as well.
