ALPR Traffic Cameras - No More FPS Loss, Customization 2.2.0

This mod creates ALPR-enabled traffic cameras around the city of Los Santos. If the traffic camera has a hit, it will notify you just as ALPR+ does. The notification will indicate the cross streets, the direction the vehicle is traveling, the flags, the vehicle model, color, and plates. You will only get hits from nearby traffic cameras. View the INI to edit the range.

Make sure to put ALPR_TrafficCameras.dll and ALPR_TrafficCameras.ini and ALPR_TrafficCameras.pdb into \Plugins\LSPDFR folder. 

Make sure to have the latest version of RageNativeUI installed.

 

Take a look at the INI at least once to make sure you are satisfied with the settings.

Anyway to have it show on the map when you get a hit? Not sure how you navigate to the area if you don't know where it is? I know it shows you street name but I certainly don't know where the streets are, unless there is some sort of sat nav mod out there?

I really don't understand why you released that plugin.

I'm not saying this plugin is a bad idea, it's clearly a god damn nice idea and I really want to use it !

 

But it's just a stutter generator at this time. Just unplayable as soon as we enable your plugin.

Not entirely your fault, same goes with the original ALPR plugin, that cause a lot of FPS drops after some minutes.

 

The game / RPH / LSPDFR can't handle this kind of feature, that's sad but true.

 

If you don't have stutter then :

  • you have the eyes of  a console gamer (unable to see the difference between 30 & 60 fps and unable to see stutter)
  • you are running GTAV on a supercalculator (give me one !)
  • bad faith (I can't do anything for u)

 

Ps : I'm not running it on a potato. i7 7700k @4.7, 16Gb DDR4, GTX 1070 OC

The new update is great. Runs smoothly, no FPS drops, all fine. 

 

But could you add an option to adjust the frequency of hits? Sometimes I get spammed with hits, like five to six at once 😄

Strange. The frequency is already adjusted internally. All stolen vehicles will produce a hit 100% of the time. The other flags (unlicensed, expired, wanted) will produce a hit 30% of the time.

If more people report the same issue, then I'll make an update. I don't want to update anything prematurely.

So I'm working on trying to make a video showing this off because I think its really, really awesome. However, one issue I'm having is just the flood of hits you get some time. Is there any way you could make a parameter to allow us to slow down the hits, kinda like the lojack plugin?

Yes I'll work on it. It's crazy because I already internally coded to to not give a hit for every flag. The flags that are checked within this mod are Stolen, Unlicensed, Expired, Wanted. For stolen, the hit rate is 100%. For the other flags, the hit rate is 30%, in that if a driver is unlicensed, there is a 30% chance that the camera will produce a hit.

Since the frequency of hits are high, that goes to show that LSPDFR flags a lot of vehicles/drivers, which is quite humorous.

Wow yeah, no kidding! Thats insane. I figured you'd done some throttling on your own, and, sometimes, its fine, and you wont get anything, and then I would get like 6 at once lol. It was slightly overwhelming. I DID have a really good interaction and use of the plugin Ill share here tomorrow if thats OK with you.

Nice! I have an update being tested that'll allow you to modify the hit percentages since LSPDFR seems to create a lot of driver flags (unlicensed, expired, driver wanted).

Also, I'm working on a gamechanger plugin that is good in and of itself, but will further complement all of the mods I recently updated. Be on the lookout!

Yes. I updating one more plugin and also working on a new plugin. Then I may work on doing a quick update on my callouts so that they won't crash with 0.4.6, then I will rework all of my callouts to make them more realistic.
