Ambient Emergency Response - Customization 2.0.1

(18 reviews)

1 Screenshot

This mod creates random emergency vehicle responses that will come pass the player. The player should shut down any major intersection to let the emergency vehicles pass by.

Make sure to put AmbientEmergencyResponse.dll and AmbientEmergencyResponse.ini into \Plugins\LSPDFR folder.

Take a look at the INI at least once to make sure you are satisfied with the settings.

You can enter cheat-code "ambientresponse" to force an ambient response.

Here's a silly question, how do I close off the intersection?

Who cares?

Let them plow into the other AI.  They would any other time.  Do they get out and shoot them too if they start a chase while in this mode?

Probably use the Shut Down Roads function. (Not sure what mod that is)

I think if the chase is through LSPDFR, then LSPDFR will take control of any cop peds and put them in pursuit.

Right on thanks for the response.  I wasn't too sure thanks for the clearing that up.  I'm a big fan of your mods.

The .ini option to turn off the notification box is not present.

Add NotifyPlayer=false under [Main] in your INI.

As such:

// Ambient Emergency Response INI
// Season to taste!

[Main]

NotifyPlayer=true

// Minimum time to create a new emergency response
MinimumSpawnTime=300000

// Maximum time to create a new emergency response
MaximumSpawnTime=600000

Awesome, I figured it was as simple as adding a command line, but I wasn't sure what that line would be. Thank you for the swift response, and the amazing ambient mod!

I wanted to ask before writing a review, so here's my problem:

On multiple occasions, the responders have been going through the wrong side of the road. Is this a common issue?

I would try to have Shadowplay's "Instant Replay" feature on but unfortunately it breaks my PC if on because of my HDMI to USB converter (I'm guessing that's the cause for it).

Guess it fixed itself. Weird. I'll have Instant Replay on for now and try to get some footage.

They should drive on wrong lane depending on the traffic in the area.

Ah ok. I'll play some more to get my final opinion and leave a review.

So, I think this is a great mod. Adds realism to the game.

But I would like to see to see added to it, the emergency vehicles blip on the mini map. Its hard to tell which way they are coming from currently and 9 out of 10 times i am blocking the wrong intersection

Thanks

@OJdoesIt

For some reason whenever there are emergency units respond LSPDFR crashes.

@nracer1 in the file you’ve downloaded , there is a readme.txt. The info is all there.

Any chance you could update this and make it a standalone RPH plugin plus customisation to the vehicle models that spawn and how many etc.?

I came here to post the same thing as DXVX said. I'm still weeding out and fine tuning the mods I got running. I had a suspect in the back of my car and got the notification that the response was coming. So I stopped and pulled over to watch and as soon as the response showed up LSPDFR crashed.

Ok I don't see a way to edit my last comment so sorry for another post. I just had a response come thru. I was in the mountain area, don't know the name. I had a suspect in the back just like last time but I was outside the car this time. Got the notification and about 5 or 6 Sherrifs came rolling thru the mountain and no crash this time. Everything worked perfectly. And must say it looks bad ass. The last time it crashed it was a ambulance and fire truck that tried coming thru. Or maybe it was just too many things going on at once? I just wanted to let you know that it does in fact work and looks cool as hell.

Stable with 0.4?

Working fine for me on 0.4.1. The only thing I had issues with was the on-screen notifications. I added in the lines as instructed however it didn't work.

@LostBoyLazarus I tried it out after your reply and for me everything works fine. What do you mean by on-screen notifs? The one on the top left when the responding vehicles approach? Works fine for me

Mine appears at the bottom left which is obscured by my mini-map. I guess that's why I didn't see it.
