SUPPORT IS NO LONGER OFFERED - FEEL FREE TO HELP UPDATE THE CODE

Siren Mastery is now open source. https://github.com/Albo1125/SirenMastery

Siren Mastery is a script modification that allows you to master your siren tones. Toggle to your secondary siren at the press of a key/button, silence your siren using any key/button you like and even control exactly which 'secondary' siren plays! You can be up and running with Siren Mastery within 5 minutes (installation tutorial click HERE).

Requirements - some of these are included (credits go to their appropriate authors):

  • Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0 or higher (included)
  • RAGEPluginHook 0.51 or higher (not included)
  • NAudio 1.8.0.0 (included)
  • A legal copy of GTA V (version 1.0.1011.1 or above).

There is also a download to free up unneeded controller bindings so they can be used for Siren Mastery. Get it here.

You can find some new, customised UIs for Siren Mastery in the spoiler below:

Summary of current features (please check documentation carefully too):

  • Change the Siren Toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
  • Change the 'lights only' toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
    • This works even if your siren is off so you can control whether your siren should play before turning your lights on.
  • New 'Toggle Secondary Siren' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to switch to secondary sirens without having to hold down a key/button.
  • New 'Toggle Bullhorn' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to keep sounding your bullhorn without having to hold down a key/button.
    • Works simultaneously with sirens.
  • New 'Next Siren' key/button that cycles to the next siren.
    • Can optionally include the Off state as a cycle stage.
  • Your siren now stays on when you leave your vehicle and you don't mute it.
    • This can be disabled from the GeneralConfig file.
  • Determine the siren tone that should be playing.
    • You are able to select which siren tone to play, including the ability to differentiate between secondary sirens.
  • Additional Siren Modes
    • Dual Siren Mode.
    • Manual Siren Mode.
  • Additional customisable sirens per vehicle model.
    • Allows you to have up to TEN total sirens per vehicle model.
  • Fully Functional and Customisable UI.
    • Feel free to create and release your own custom UI files.
    • The size and position of the UI can be customised via the UIConfig file.
  • Customisable Siren Switching Tones (like Siren Switch Honker).
  • Sirens are fully customisable per vehicle model via an XML file.
  • All keybindings are customisable and fully customisable controller support is included.
  • The vehicles.awc size and length limits are effectively removed while using Siren Mastery, allowing for greater siren variety.
  • British Users: You can now have British Siren Switch/Toggle sounds (in other words, horns!). Simply replace the relevant files in the Plugins/SirenMastery folder with the ones included in Siren Switch Honker's download.

Support is no longer offered - what to do if you encounter a bug or have problems:

  1. Watch the installation video for my modifications here.
  2. Use this tool: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9755-lspdfr-troubleshooter-by-albo1125/
  3. Read the documentation file if you're having trouble getting a specific feature to work.
  4. Suggestions can be made here.
  5. If all else fails: Please leave a comment (not a review). Include your RAGEPluginHook.log file, located in your Grand Theft Auto V folder. Also, please provide an accurate description of what happened.

Siren Mastery for RPH

Alright so installation went ok, no RPH issues, but when I activate the sirens its really quiet for a couple seconds and then it jumps to normal volume. It does this with all 3 sirens and the horn where it jumps around in volume. The rest of the game volume is fine, its just the sirens. Changing the siren volume in the configuration doesn't change how the siren jumps around in volume. Anyone else having this issue or have a fix?

Is there a way to get these sirens work with AI police?

Crashes the game whenever I alt tab, and sometimes it just crashes at random.

Do you pause the game before alt tabbing?

No, is that the problem? I'll try it next time.

What is the reason for exporting and copying the vehicles folder with all of the audio files into the SirenMastery directory, if one is going to use custom sirens in the other folder anyway?

When using custom sirens, are the siren tones for AI vehicles pulled from the SirenMastery vehicles folder, or from the "vanilla" GTAV vehicles folder?

I am curious, because, I am wondering if the vehicles folder within the SirenMastery directory would allow a loophole around the ~15 mb file size restriction, and allow higher quality and/or lengthier siren tones for the AI vehicles.  Is this the purpose of the vehicles folder within the SirenMastery directory or not?

By the way, I fully understand that the CustomSirens folder only allows for custom sirens to be utilized by the game player only, and not AI.....obviously I am aware of this fact.  I am curious about the vehicles folder, though.  Hope my question makes sense, let me know if it doesn't.

SIren Mastery does not affect AI sirens in any way. Regs.

Would it be possible to make the siren stop when using the horn? (Pressing I) Sorry if that was a bad explanation but kinda like Polecat does in this video? https://youtu.be/w4Ea1eu-AfA?t=1m57s

Press 4 (or whatever siren number you've set your horn to) to accomplish this.

All of your mods are acting like I am running a later version of GTA V than what they can handle. Assorted callouts keeps telling me I am running too new of a copy and that you will update shortly. But I know that you have already done that, considering its been a month since the new update.

You're probably downloading an old version by mistake.

That's what I am thinking too. The new versions are the 1st option when you click download right?

The plugin work great but have some error.. or is only me?

Example i spawn in a POLICE2 car, i doe some calls, and i want to go offduty but before to get of duty i spawn a normal CAR no a POLICE CAR, so the error start when i leave the police car, with sirens or light on, and if i enter in a NO-POLICE car and i leave the police car with lights of sirens on the Plugin instant crash.

They're the one with the highest version number.

Yes I understand this, but does it have the capability to do this, perhaps in the future?  Is it remotely possible?

When I do this it just engages the horn full time.......selecting 0 (which is for my horn because i have 9 siren tones + horn for each vehicle) plays the horn tone continuously.

I am also experiencing another issue, when exiting the vehicle and going on a foot pursuit while having the .ini file set to play the siren when out of the vehicle.  You hear the siren audio no matter where you are on the map.  Although it seems as if this only affects one of the tones that is playing.  If running dual-tone sirens before exiting the vehicle, one of the two siren tones will fade away the further you get from the vehicle.  The other will not......

Looks like that is because you aren't utilizing any custom siren tones for the AI vehicles.  You'll have to find this folder in the game directory as it hasn't been copied to your mods folder....because you haven't modified it with custom siren tones.

I can't answer your question but I do know that the configuration file allows you to change the volume of the toggle button audio.  You can set it at 0.0.
