SUPPORT IS NO LONGER OFFERED - FEEL FREE TO HELP UPDATE THE CODE

Siren Mastery is now open source. https://github.com/Albo1125/SirenMastery

Siren Mastery is a script modification that allows you to master your siren tones. Toggle to your secondary siren at the press of a key/button, silence your siren using any key/button you like and even control exactly which 'secondary' siren plays! You can be up and running with Siren Mastery within 5 minutes (installation tutorial click HERE).

Requirements - some of these are included (credits go to their appropriate authors):

  • Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0 or higher (included)
  • RAGEPluginHook 0.51 or higher (not included)
  • NAudio 1.8.0.0 (included)
  • A legal copy of GTA V (version 1.0.1011.1 or above).

There is also a download to free up unneeded controller bindings so they can be used for Siren Mastery. Get it here.

You can find some new, customised UIs for Siren Mastery in the spoiler below:

Spoiler

Summary of current features (please check documentation carefully too):

  • Change the Siren Toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
  • Change the 'lights only' toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
    • This works even if your siren is off so you can control whether your siren should play before turning your lights on.
  • New 'Toggle Secondary Siren' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to switch to secondary sirens without having to hold down a key/button.
  • New 'Toggle Bullhorn' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to keep sounding your bullhorn without having to hold down a key/button.
    • Works simultaneously with sirens.
  • New 'Next Siren' key/button that cycles to the next siren.
    • Can optionally include the Off state as a cycle stage.
  • Your siren now stays on when you leave your vehicle and you don't mute it.
    • This can be disabled from the GeneralConfig file.
  • Determine the siren tone that should be playing.
    • You are able to select which siren tone to play, including the ability to differentiate between secondary sirens.
  • Additional Siren Modes
    • Dual Siren Mode.
    • Manual Siren Mode.
  • Additional customisable sirens per vehicle model.
    • Allows you to have up to TEN total sirens per vehicle model.
  • Fully Functional and Customisable UI.
    • Feel free to create and release your own custom UI files.
    • The size and position of the UI can be customised via the UIConfig file.
  • Customisable Siren Switching Tones (like Siren Switch Honker).
  • Sirens are fully customisable per vehicle model via an XML file.
  • All keybindings are customisable and fully customisable controller support is included.
  • The vehicles.awc size and length limits are effectively removed while using Siren Mastery, allowing for greater siren variety.
  • British Users: You can now have British Siren Switch/Toggle sounds (in other words, horns!). Simply replace the relevant files in the Plugins/SirenMastery folder with the ones included in Siren Switch Honker's download.

Support is no longer offered - what to do if you encounter a bug or have problems:

  1. Watch the installation video for my modifications here.
  2. Use this tool: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9755-lspdfr-troubleshooter-by-albo1125/
  3. Read the documentation file if you're having trouble getting a specific feature to work.
  4. Suggestions can be made here.
  5. If all else fails: Please leave a comment (not a review). Include your RAGEPluginHook.log file, located in your Grand Theft Auto V folder. Also, please provide an accurate description of what happened.

Please do not reupload or redistribute this without my permission, rather link back to this original page. Thank you.

GUI should follow tomorrow.

But honestly, you'll be in love with it without the GUI

@AlexanderTheGreat Unfortunately I use functions that were only introduced in RPH 0.44 to make the experience that much more awesome.

RPH 0.45 currently has no issues AND people have reported better performance with it including myself, so I'd definitely recommend upgrading!

I have no doubt about that, but the GUI is more of a want than need! I've downloaded it and going to try it now! Thank you, Albo!

Have you got a video tut on how to create the siren setups for individual vehicles (I learn better by watching rather than reading), also what do I rename the individual sirens to because I have multiple that I want to use but the have the same name in different folders (wail, yelp, priority and so on).

Hi Albo! Thank you for this.

Just one question: I don't want to use additional sirens (siren1, siren2), it eats up free hotkeys and I just don't need them. Can I disable them in .ini, changing key values to "none"?

A tutorial video will follow tomorrow.

For now, though, I hope these screenshots help you out:

Basically, set the text between > and < (the black text above) to the file name of a .wav file inside your SirenMaster/CustomSirens folder.

I've also written about this in the documentation in case you hadn't seen that yet.

Hope it helps!

When I change my 'Tap Siren' keybind to D4 it doesnt recognize it and keeps using I? But it works when I switch it to 'T'. Any fix for this? (I changed the keys that already had D4 or T bindings, so its not conflicting)

What exactly do you mean "Tap Siren"?

Could you please tell me the specific name in the INI? Cheers

If you could add the feature that keeps the siren on when you exit the vehicle that will be wicked!!

Hi again Albo, tested this plugin a little bit. So here I go with some questions:

1. Is it possible to use priority and yelp separately, or switch them in course like wail->yelp->priority? It's quite random now, or I'm missing something.

2. Blip siren is so quiet. Seems like it does not take the volume value from .ini. I set siren volume to 0.2, and blip siren is still 0.04 I suppose. Is it bug or feature?

3. Is it performance friendly? I installed Siren Mastery and updated RPH to 0.45 at the same time and noticed some fps drops. Maybe it's just me, but anyway.

1. You can use the 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. keys on your keyboard to activate a specific siren.

2. Blip Siren uses an ingame function which unfortunately does not allow custom volume.

3. Yup! Shouldn't be a noticeable drop in FPS, although this varies per spec setup and depends on how many/which other modifications you have installed

Cheers

Hey, have you thoroughly followed the steps in the documentation?

If you attach your RAGEPluginHook.log file I can take a look for ya.

Hey Albo, this may be a bit off topic, but is there a way to disable key bindings for the game controller? I'd really rather have quick control over my sirens than headlights and the minimap.

I appreciate your effort and absolutely love the mod. I particularly like the high customization and that when I switch back to the primary, it continues where it left off. It's a nice touch.

Yup! You can set the Controller buttons you don't want to None.
