Siren Mastery is a script modification that allows you to master your siren tones. Toggle to your secondary siren at the press of a key/button, silence your siren using any key/button you like and even control exactly which 'secondary' siren plays! You can be up and running with Siren Mastery within 5 minutes (installation tutorial click HERE).

Requirements - some of these are included (credits go to their appropriate authors):

  • Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0 or higher (included)
  • RAGEPluginHook 0.51 or higher (not included)
  • NAudio 1.8.0.0 (included)
  • A legal copy of GTA V (version 1.0.1011.1 or above).

There is also a download to free up unneeded controller bindings so they can be used for Siren Mastery. Get it here.

Summary of current features (please check documentation carefully too):

  • Change the Siren Toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
  • Change the 'lights only' toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
    • This works even if your siren is off so you can control whether your siren should play before turning your lights on.
  • New 'Toggle Secondary Siren' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to switch to secondary sirens without having to hold down a key/button.
  • New 'Toggle Bullhorn' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to keep sounding your bullhorn without having to hold down a key/button.
    • Works simultaneously with sirens.
  • New 'Next Siren' key/button that cycles to the next siren.
    • Can optionally include the Off state as a cycle stage.
  • Your siren now stays on when you leave your vehicle and you don't mute it.
    • This can be disabled from the GeneralConfig file.
  • Determine the siren tone that should be playing.
    • You are able to select which siren tone to play, including the ability to differentiate between secondary sirens.
  • Additional Siren Modes
    • Dual Siren Mode.
    • Manual Siren Mode.
  • Additional customisable sirens per vehicle model.
    • Allows you to have up to TEN total sirens per vehicle model.
  • Fully Functional and Customisable UI.
    • Feel free to create and release your own custom UI files.
    • The size and position of the UI can be customised via the UIConfig file.
  • Customisable Siren Switching Tones (like Siren Switch Honker).
  • Sirens are fully customisable per vehicle model via an XML file.
  • All keybindings are customisable and fully customisable controller support is included.
  • The vehicles.awc size and length limits are effectively removed while using Siren Mastery, allowing for greater siren variety.
  • British Users: You can now have British Siren Switch/Toggle sounds (in other words, horns!). Simply replace the relevant files in the Plugins/SirenMastery folder with the ones included in Siren Switch Honker's download.

albo, any idea on how to fix my sirens. when i use the siren mastery my sirens work but all the sirens on like the backup and what not are silenced.

Hi, Siren Mastery doesn't interfere with the AI's sirens so it's not to do with this plugin unfortunately.

Basically, when you press the Airhorn Button, Traffic moves out of your way like when the Sirens are playing.

This is nothing to do with Siren Mastery - it's likely caused by a corrupt or too big x64/audio/sfx/resident.rpf/vehicles.awc.

I advise posting in the support forums.

My siren skips/ studders every few seconds, any idea what could cause this?

DO NOT EXCEED VEHICLE FOLDER SIZE OVER 15.7 MB OR IT WILL MUTE THE DICTIONARY. (aka vehicles.awc)

Love the mod! Works great for the most part. But does it happen to change anything in regards to the stock sirens and files? I attempted to change my siren (not using sirenmastery as I only use that for CHP Vehicles so they can have a genuine siren different to my LAPD one) but what happens is when ever I use a siren (again, not using SM) I appear to have my old siren, whereas NPC's all have the new siren I have installed. If I remove or disable SM, the siren works perfectly as the NEW siren. If I enable SM again, my OLD siren comes back. Keeping in mind, this police vehicle is NOT in the 'VehicleSirenSetup.xml' file. I have absolutely no idea where it's even getting the old siren sounds from to begin with considering it was in vehicles.awc which I overwritten with the new siren.

Second question - when ever I attempt to add my own .WAV files from a siren I created I get a SirenMastery crash on loading. If I remove them and add some I've grabbed off LSPDFR.com, all is well. Can they be any old WAV? Any file limits? The largest file of them all is 1.72mb Hoping to get this one sorted so I can release the siren on LSPDFR.com

Great work though, seems to work great otherwise!

Great work though, seems to work great otherwise! 

If you install a new siren in vehicles.awc you'll need to repeat step 2 of the installation process.

Please post your log so I can take a look at the crash for ya.

There is a scaling option in the Plugins/SirenMastery/Config/UIConfig.ini file.

@Albo1125 I found a small bug where if I am pressing the Left Thumb stick for the horn, and then I pause the game with the stick still pressed, the horn will blast until I unpause the game.

I cannot get the siren sound to work to save my life! Can anybody help me on this? It blips and I have lights, but the sirens won't sound. I made sure the vehicles folder is 15.7MB and everything looks like it is on the right place according to the video and documentations.

 

Please Help!!!

Love the mod; it's real good. But, I noticed some issues. First is that there shouldn't be a beeping sound when you press the manual siren key. Also, when you press the manual siren key, you also hear the whoop-whoop, which shouldn't happen. Anyway, good mod and I like it.

Did you extract the vehicles.awc to the /SirenMastery folder?

I actually would like in a sense to have the siren keep going when you get out. Like in GTA 4/LCPD. When you are rushing to stop someone you don't take the time to switch your siren. To me it adds to the thrill until you get things settled down then it gets annoying
