Hello everyone,

This is the Lenco Variation by Cosmo.

INTRO:

I hope you enjoy it very much, if you come across any bugs then please feel free to let me know.

Donations are always accepted and any amount is greatly appreciated. All donations go towards the costs of vehicle development (Purchasing models, zMod Subscription, etc).

FEATURES:

  • Ten fully functioning seats (Thanks to Yard1 who helped make that possible).
  • All regular/expected car features such as dirt, window cracks, damage, etc..
  • Fully UV-Mapped and Templated.
  • Custom Handling (Thanks to Sgt. Kanyo for the GTA IV handling line).
  • Can attach boat and small trailers.
  • Two Lightbar variations (Arjent and Liberty)
  • 2k and 4k textures/templates

INSTALLATION:

A very in-depth installation is included inside the README in the download, please refer to that for the full instructions.

*** Don't forget to make backups or use a mods folder ***

  • Using OpenIV, you put everything from the folder Vehicle Files which includes riot.ytd, riot.yft, etc into:
    • update>x64>dlcpacks>patchday8ng>dlc.rpf>x64>levels>gta5>vehicles.rpf
  • You then place the vehicles.meta into:
    • update>update.rpf>common>data>levels>gta5
  • You then place the handling.meta into:
    • update>update.rpf>common>data
  • You then place the vehiclelayouts.meta into:
    • update>update.rpf>common>data>ai

You need to put all of these files in the correct places or else that vehicle will not work properly.

Welcome to something that has been in the making since I've gotten my hands on ELS, something that has taken more hours then you guys could understand. I've pulled out all the stops for this pack. I've taken all your guys' feedback on my screenshots, and I've done my best to destroy it in the realistic/quality/immersion department. I've done my best to simplify the installation of this file. For those of you who are looking for an add-on version of this pack, you're going to have to wait a littl

First off, thank you for this amazing vehicle. I've been following your WIP thread and it's clear that you have put a lot of time and thought into this project so bravo. I will leave a review in the near future.

    Suggestions:

    - Could you perhaps specify the model? It seems like this Bearcat is an amalgamation of different model years.

    - Wheels should be solid color (like black). A different model for the front wheels would be accurate but not necessary I suppose.

    - Way too many rivets :(

    - Maybe add some more lights (like on the side mirrors).

    - Add front fog lights

    - Add proper steps on the side and rear

    - Add handles on either side of the hood and front windows. These handles seem to exist on almost every bearcat I have seen.

    - Windows should be flat and borderless

    - Make some extras like a different rambar/winch setup. Turret hatch open/closed. Lightbar on/off.  Also, I've seen some images of Bearcats that have some pole like objects on the sides.

    Thanks again.

Like  AMSAGENT000 pointed out, all that stuff would be great but if you could add an arjent that would be amazing. Also the back blue light on the right side flickers a little bit when its off.

    Thanks for the feedback!

It would be hard to specify a model since it's not exactly a bearcat, it's pretty much a car that resembles aspects of all kinds since they vary from state to state and even city to city.

You have some good suggestions and I'll definitely be looking into doing a lot of these for the next update!

hi man we can only put 2 suspects to back of the vehicle? and there is a small bug with hands

That's odd, I never tested it with suspects but I can move the seats forwards a bit more so their hands don't clip out of the side.

As for only 2, that might come down to which ever mod lets you put suspects in the back. I'm not totally sure but possibly that mod has it coded that you can only put two people in the back.

I think the blinkers are broken. When using my mod for the left blinker both sides go off, the right one does nothing separate.

What mod are you using? It works fine with MoreControlV

Hello Cosmo, are you sure the path that you specify for installing riot.yft files is the correct path? because the riot file is not present there. However the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\riot.yft does have the riot.yft present. Just need to be sure before installing. Thanks!

Yes I am sure. Technically you don't replace the files, but from my understanding, GTA V loads the game first and then all the patches so if you put the files in the latest patch, then it will overwrite the previous ones and works.

is this vehicle supported by LSPDFR? I notice that while using it on duty that it does not pull over peds. Is it something that I am doing wrong or is it not meant for that?

It just replaces the model of the Riot van so it should work the same as the vanilla one. I do not think that the vanilla riot van could pull over vehicles since usually swat officers are not conducting traffic stops. That would be something to do with LSPDFR though, I didn't change anything about the car itself.

Technically a bearcat would not be used to pull over peds, it would usually be used to respond to violent or high intensity situations such as a shooter, which would require swat officers to deal with the situation. But you can really use it however you want in your game.

If you are talking about LSPDFR backup, I believe in the backup.ini you can change how many units respond in the car. With this vehicle, you should be able to set it to 10 units to respond inside.

Yes your right about the bearcat not pulling over peds for traffic stops. However I did replace the riot with an insurgent vehicle and it did pullover for traffic stops. I dont know maybe it is something I am not doing. If you dont mind giving it a shot on your end? Thanks!

Were you able to pull over vehicles with the insurgent replacing the riot with the vehicles.meta from my file or another?

Awesome! One question--will SWAT bodyguards hang off the side of this truck like with the FBI van, Insurgent, Roosevelt, etc.?

    Thanks!

None hang off the sides in this version, since so many can fit in the back, but I am working on a version where they can hang off the sides since some people do want that.

Not sure if it has been said, but the indicators (turn signals) don't work properly. It's not a big deal, I'd rather the other stuff be sorted first but it's just a heads up.

    Great job on this @Cosmo
We may look into adding this into RDE in the near future if you're okay with it. We would credit you of course.
Not sure when this will happen as the team is pretty busy at the moment but I just wanted to reach out :)
    Keep up the good work!

Does this model support multiple liveries?

Not at the moment because I messed a part of it up, but the next update will be fixing that issue.
