And you are sure that the disc is spinning and that the right drive is selected in the installer? I know, basic stuff but they're easily overlooked.

It happens to me too, but not that very often. Seems random. I'm also using the hotfix, but as posted it can be fixed by regrouping partners.

I'd say get a better computer, a computer better suited for gaming and you will have a much better overall experience.

Seems like you already come to a conclusing as to what is wrong. If you can read the disc, it's most likely not a faulty disc problem (it still could be, but the chances are decreased).

Using the new version is always recommended. I recommnend you reading this (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19) and later install the LCPDFR 1.0 mod manually, using this guide (www.lcpdfr.com/topic/25947-how-to-manually-install-lcpdfr-10-using-the-manual-installation-package/).

Just a little note, you do not need to apply the hotfix if you just recently installed LCPDFR 1.0 using the manual installation package, since it is included. Anyway, do you have a legal copy of the game? Are you running the game as administrator? Have you played 0.95RC2 before? Have you saved while on-duty, using LCPDFR/any other mod?

Could we a see a screenshot of your gta iv directory? Just to see the structure of your ENB? Also, that processor may be causing issues running a enb, just a heads-up.

I would recommend you using the manual installation package instead, since some users have reported that it is more stable than the automatic one. Anyway, are you running your game as administrator and in compability mode? What operating system are you using?

Most modded cars will increase the risk of your game crashing, but as a pointer, you need to look for cars that aren't high-poly (meaning that the file-size it too big).

I'm pretty sure this isn't a LCPDFR error, but a computer error, or more precisely, your computer not being able to keep up with GTA IV. You can try creating a file called commandline.txt in your GTA IV directory and add the following lines: -renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 0 -detailquality 0 -novblank -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -minspecaudio -novsync -renderquality 0 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict It will force the game to minimum settings, reducing all settings. I think that is your issue here.

Maybe it's just a random crash then, I'm not really sure what could be wrong. There was another thread about this, but sadly we never solved it.

I think a reinstall of the police helper would be good, just to make sure you're not missing files from the mod itself. How often does this error happen?

Usually, this error is caused by the script trying to use objects in game that are not there anymore. Abraxas has put multiple checks in the script to prevent that from happening, but sometimes it still does. What other script mods do you have?
