  1. Yes, download and install this (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549).
  2. I'm not sure what you mean, the stability of GTA IV MP is hard to fix since the entire game inherently broken IMO.
  3. You mean GTAIV.exe? If yes, do not do that. You are supposed to be using "LaunchGTAIV.exe". Try that and see if it works better.
  4. When launching the game, which file do you use to launch the game?
  5. No problem glad I could help :)
  6. I think you could use the trainer to change glasses on your "guy", but if you want to replace them you'd have to use a program to change the files in a cd-image, yes.
  7. Since ELS and SNT are conflicting with the keys, you need to make sure that the trainer keys are disabled by going to your GTA IV folder, open trainer.ini, hit CTRL+F, type in KeyBindingsDisabled=0, click on Find Next and replace 0 with 1. This should solve your issue.
  8. Are you using the simple native trainer at all?
  9. I agree with that, faulty model is probably the most likely.
  10. Could you try and run it in compability mode for Windows 95-98?
  11. I'm kind of lost when it comes to hardware faults, I'm more for the software part.
  12. Could you try removing the saves and start the game again?
  13. Also, have you been able to play the game before on that computer?
  14. Push? I'm not sure your graphics card can handle the game to be honest, could be wrong though. The system out of memory error when exiting is caused by LCPDFR. It's not a issue.
  15. You would have to set the permissions on the actual files, OP. Not the shortcuts. Sorry for the late reply. Must have missed this thread.
  16. ^That. Also, what commandlines are you using?
  17. Well, if you are using mods you should be. Look in the GTA IV folder and check for the following files: dsound.dll or xlive.dll.
  18. Up? Okay, if you have a 32-bit system you need the x86 applications. Do you need a link for those?
  19. That's strange. Could I see a screenshot of your entire GTA IV folder, please?
  20. If you are using the xlive.dll asi loader, GFWL will be disabled. You would have to use dsound.dll instead. Sidenote: You are not supposed to be able to create a topic in the Knowledge Base. The below is posted above in that section :) "Common issues, bugs and questions regarding the LCPD First Response modification. This forum serves as a Knowledge Base for common problems with the LCPD First Response Modification. Note that only staff members can make new topics here." There's always a description for the forums when posting, take a few seconds and read them. It helps :) Hope I helped.
  21. If you are going to follow the above advise, but still want the taser follow this guide (>www.lcpdfr.com/topic/25936-how-to-manually-install-the-lcpdfr-taser-in-lcpdfr-10/?p=204104). You will also have to run the game as administrator, regardless of what you do. Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.
  22. Shouldn't really be a issue if you already can run the game, some users have reported that Windows 8 is causing trouble for them but not all users. You should be fine :)
  23. Have you ever saved while on duty or while using the mod?
  24. When does the crash occur? Are you running the game as administrator? Do you have both xlive and dsound in your game directory? Have you ever saved while on duty?
