  1. Are you using a legal, up to date version of GTA IV?
  2. Could I see a screenshot or filelisting of your GTA IV directory please?
  3. Try using the manual installation package instead, here's a tutorial (>www.lcpdfr.com/topic/25947-how-to-manually-install-lcpdfr-10-using-the-manual-installation-package/). You can replace any files if needed. Also, you will need to run both exe's as administrator, by going to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe. Also, say hi to Casper from me :p
  4. Could I see a screenshot of your GTA IV directory? Also, I recommend you using the manual installation package instead of the automatic installer.
  5. You should attach any .log files from your GTA IV directory.
  6. Have you changed any hardware recently? I can't really help you unless you say what the error is.
  7. Well, kind of. But it is hardcoded into the game. The LCPDFR Devs have tried to fix the police driving AI, but it's as far as I know, not possible to improve it further.
  8. Nope. That's the way GTA IV is. I'd say it's part of the GTA charm that EMS kills more people than they save.
  9. I'm afraid so.. It will clean the registry from GTA IV and add it fresh again. That's the only option I have atm.
  10. Well, have you tried it in 1.0? :)
  11. Yeah... reinstall again. I'm really puzzled as to why this happens really.
  12. Yes, those files should be in the LCPDFR ASI Loaders folder (not sure if it is named exactly like that).
  13. Could you try using the dsound from the LCPDFR directory (unless you already are, then disregard).
  14. Yes, since xlive will disable the GFWL part of the game (where the GTA IV multiplayer runs).
  15. Try using this commandline by creating a file called "commandline.txt" in your GTA IV folder and add the following lines: -novblank -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -novsync -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict
  16. Hm. In your GTA IV folder, do you have both xlive and dsound?
  17. I have heard about it before, but it was solved by disabling DEP. Could you try re-applying the manual installation package again?
  18. Xlive will disable GFWL, so you will have to make do without GFWL or use Dsound instead.
  19. No problem, even though you solved it yourself most of the time haha.
  20. Alright, I am glad to hear it. Happy gaming :) No, because this isn't your thread as far as I know.
  21. You can use this to show file extentions (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-sg/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions). I still recommend you to get rid of Kaspersky.
  22. Yep, decreasing in-game graphics settings will always help.
  23. Are you using the "xlive" asi loader? (Named "xlive.dll" in your GTA IV directory).
  24. Yep, all files are there. You haven't enabled file extensions, that's all.
