  1. The amount of community has donated so far for LCPDFR and the website does not inspire us to be honest. If we depended solely on donations, there would be no LCPDFR and no website.
  2. Thank you for your suggestion(s)
  3. MODERATOR NOTICE Since this is nothing to do with LCPDFR.com support or suggestions, this has been moved to Computers & Technology. He can probably see this as he is an admin. A non-admin would probably see 'Private'.
  4. If only life was that black and white...
  5. Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR. You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them. Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post. If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following: Give a clear, detailed description of the problem. Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem. State what solutions you have tried. Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log). Include as much information as possible. Post your system specifications. Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.
  6. Since this is neither a website support issue or suggestion, I've moved this to LCPDFR discussion.
  7. Then don't use it sir. I completely agree, likewise, people only have so much patience and time. As I've said before, the majority of the LCPDFR userbase is now using 1.0 and are not having issues. We can't get it right for all systems and setups but we certainly do for the majority of them.
  8. If you can't get 1.0 working, have fun with 0.95 I guess! Nah, we want people that know how to install a game properly and can actually provide us with useful information to test, that's why we have a very small team of beta testers. The update available thing is there cause uhh... there's an update available. There's no sinister conspiracy!
  9. The taser system works if you follow the instructions as intended. We are not able to provide support for installation issues. Regarding your other points, thank you for your suggestions.
  10. There is no problem with mass immigration of Africans in the UK. You may be referring to the Middle Eastern immigration, which is certainly something which people have mixed opinions about.
  11. Best thing is to contact Rockstar support or where you got the game from. They're the only ones that can do anything about your license and serial key.
  12. Probably trolling the more gullible of you.
  13. If that's the way you feel perhaps an uninstall will fix your issues and perhaps some anger management. If you want someone to complain to, complain to Rockstar for not having a decent modding API. The way mods are built, by design, cause issues. Although we've mitigated most of them, some still crop up from time to time. Issues occur more with car modifications and other script modifications installed, because the game was never designed to cope with LCPDFR or any other modification. I can see why you're angry, but have some respect. We do this for free. Sam and LMS mostly. They've spent countless hours developing software which works for the majority of people on here. Perhaps you'd be better creating your own police modification, and posting results in this thread.
  14. If our expenditures (servers, development costs, domain name costs, software licenses) ever exceed what we can offset from advertising and donations, yes, LCPDFR will close down.
  15. Cryptolocker is such a great idea. I'm shocked this wasn't done ages ago to be honest, the technology was always there. I personally don't run anti-virus software, because I simply don't execute material that I don't know where it came from. If I have to, I'll run it in a sandbox.
  16. All mods are unstable in MP, so yes, that was an assumption that didn't quite need a post :) Some small bug fixes may have improved the experience, though.
  17. 2 + 1 = 3 = c = 6 / 2 = 6 rings of zion / 2 gold rings = absolute evidence of conspiracy to explode france confirmed you heard it here first guys
  18. There's no PC version. There are no plans until we hear plans for a PC version or see a PC version. We do buy domains from time to time, such as LSPDFR.com, although this is mostly to protect our name and should not be seen as a definite that we're going to do anything.
  19. Contact Amazon support. They will assist you further if it's a legal copy. It may just be a case of having to uninstall completely then reinstall.
  20. The whole 'donation' thing is hogwash, we lack any community monetary support, you're lucky if we get $10/mo in donations. We even once had someone trying to chargeback a $5 donation. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do. We've already said numerous times this won't be standalone. We don't have the time, we don't have the money and we certainly do not have the interest. Any standalone version would have to be really crap (using crap like Unity) or 2D. Either way it wouldn't even scratch on what is possible with the GTA4 engine and it's not something which will happen from us. Pointless exercise, if they care about money (which is all Rockstar care about), they'll patch G4WL out to ensure future catalogue and title sales.
  21. It's barely a scraping of LCPDFR. They used our name to get attention. Using it will cause your XBOX to be banned from Xbox Live online services.
  22. What is your GRAPHICS card? GPU and GPU memory?
  23. You have 0.95 installed. Remove it like you were told to when installing...
  24. Huh? Rockstar never approved modding. It's entirely unoffical. Infact, the game is made to make modding difficult. It keeps failing because either you're doing something wrong, overloading your system or using something incompatible with the mod you're installing. And yes, modding is a lot of effort because it is unofficial. Once you learn it it's generally easy. If you think it's more hassle than it's worth, you may consider not continuing.
